Yes.

Except that the quote is... "And in an outspoken interview, Pompey director Sulaiman Al-Fahim blames the club's ex-boss Redknapp and former owner Sacha Gaydamak for the club's desperate plight."
-
That would indeed cause much lollage! I think its unlikely though. Al Fahim isn't likely to go mouthing off to the press without consuulting the other interested parties and then have it back fire on him is he. Not somebody with as much media experience as Al Fahim. Oh.

I think it is much more likely that they have paid £2m of the tax bil.
-
Or... If one of the more proactive amoungst us were to contact moonpig, would they make up and deliver a huge card to the exeter game(technically after christmas I know but I doubt it could happen in time for the Norwich JPT game)? Moonpig get publicity The fans get a supersized card to sign Marcus gets to feel warm and fuzzy inside becuase so many people like him.

Lots of statements coming out of farton along the lines of 1) "There is no truth in the reports that the club might go into administration" and 2) "We are working around the clock to avoid administration". Now maybe they could explain how, if the first statement is true.... the second is required.

This, IMO, is the problem that should causing the fish fiddlers the most sleepless nights.
-
Sadly this is the last thing that I would want the directors to do "in preparation" for administration.
-
And then some. £10m was mentioned somewhere on here (or linked to).

The manager can line up the deals but he can't sign the cheque. Much as I loathe Redknap he can only get away with what the owner/cheif exec allows him to. As was demonstrated when he was with us.

Four legs good, two legs better.

First off make sure you know the subject that you are presenting on. So many people just learn what is specifically in their presentation and fall over as soon as they are asked a question. Second, SLOW DOWN. I guarantee you a talking quicker than you think.

I'm getting married on the 8th May. Last L1 game of the season. Fingers crossed it isn't a crucial game to make it into the palyoffs

So we can expect one of CoHo's rare posts shortly only for him to vanish back to his gardening leave again when it fails to materialise.

Portsmouth fail to pay their players again...

I think it was a loan from their chairman rather than the F.A./league -

If it came to that it would NOT be a small bill. If Standard Chartered (or a.n. other charge holder ant to appoint an administrator the "paying of the bill" will be millions. -
+1 The problems for them in administration will also be significantly greater than ours were. With the stadium and surrounding property still owned by Gaydamak (apparently) the prospects of them being purchased from administration are also greatly reduced. Anybody buying the "club", even for £1, would still need to either purchase the stadium from Gaydamak, or agree a rental. In either event Gaydamak has them over a barrel and any deal would need to give him a better return than he could get from knocking everything down and building houses. The only other options are to build a new stadium which would both cost a fortune and take time. Maybe they could ground share with Havant... probably have a few empty seats though.

http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/article.php?id=1243 "As Chairman of Portsmouth FC, I have always sought to adhere to the highest standards of transparency in the running of the Club, in particular, with regard to its finances," "This lack of openness is having a destabilizing effect on the Club and I, both as Chairman of Portsmouth FC and an ardent fan of the Club,.. blah blah balh !" Lolage! Oh dear oh dear.... aside form this being hilarious, why is the Chairman of any buisness not able to simply call the finance director/financial controller and ask to be given a copy of the Company's management accounts? Unless ofcourse everything is totally totally F**KED and the majority shareholder is deliberately hiding it.
-
Interesting that the Chairman is saying that he has never met the new owner... Good to know (not that we didn't already) that the club is being so well run.

I stopped bothering with the first one in the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) city. Although graphically brilliant it was by far and away the most repetitive game I have played for years. The "story" also p1ssed me off. Did anything happen at the end to make the future scenes worth the effort? Was especially gutted as I had been looking forward to its release for ages. The second one will have to be a HUGE step up for me to consider even playing a demo. Who can post a proper review?

I had a Vaio before this machine. It broke once during the warranty. From me first calling them to them collecting, repairing and returning it to me was about 4 days which really impressed me. It broke again (video card I think) a month or so after the warranty ended and they wanted £200 just to look at it. Got a mate to take a look and the cost of finding a replacement card which would fit was through the roof.

Somebody will no doubt suggest that this statement has only been released so that he can claim to not be at fault when everything finally goes tits in the next month or two. No idea who it will be but I bet soembody does.
-
I don't. Getting (yet more) loans is going to be (even more) dificult now with worldwide economic confidence taking another hit. If they had the money they would have made a song and dance about it by now.
