Surely not!?

And why keep Dr Al involved? He doesn't (or so it seems) have any money. He's wasted MONTHS of their time. He has been to 1 football match in his life. What does he actually bring to the table? Unless of course DD is providing the funds to take them through until Dr Al's bonus arrives to fund the champions league push?

How could anybody not trust somebody as well presented as this guy?... I half expect him to show up as the next Fagin in the west end.
-
I won't happen. CoHo has done the maths and they are now profit making and debt free so why would they sell? Much more likely to sign players IMO.
-
Possibly the scruffiest chairman ever. Did they make him run to the ground?

These posts are starting to get a long to comment / counter comment on each and every line (and its also getting pretty late) but you consistently fall down with your selective acceptance of some reports and dismissal of others do fit your arguments. Given that only reports that fit your rose tinted view seem to count lets ignore all of them (for or aginst you) and go straight to the direct quote from the official club statement released on 4 August... "While it is our intention to add strengh to the existing squad we cannot rule out the possibility of having to sell more players should the take over not happen" Maybe you should contact PS and point out to him that now you are both debt free and operating at a profit this won't be necessary. It's probably something that it would be useful for him to know. :smt081

The way I read that is that because he is ultimately responsible to ML for meeting budgets and managing the business he has final sanction. This isn't any different from any other well run club. To see what can happen when the manager goes about transfer dealings without any form of restraint you only need to look down the M27.

And what happened to the big announcement which was going to shut us all up on Friday CoHo?
-
We've seen this before. We were lead down the garden path by pinacle as you are being by the Dr. You however continue to cling to the hope that reality may not have to be acknowledged.

Back to you

Exactly. Good luck!

In addition to the above there is also the fact that they are going to struggle to find a new buyer. If Mr. A.N. Investor wants to buy a club and make it a going concern in the PL he is going to have to spend a S**T load of money. 1) Clearing all of the player related debt as above, 2) Build a Stadium 3) Buy a training ground anf facilities 4) Fund losses during the time it takes to do all of the above (2 years minimum) 5) Fund new player transfers My guess is: 1) £20m? 2) £70m 3) £20m? 4) £15m 5) £30? So that's £155m to start, or you could just buy Newcastle for £60m leaving you £95m change. Hmmm, I'm sure they'll find someone...

You clearly like her a lot. I think the question to ask yourself is "if she liked you as much as you clearly like her would she be hesitating and needing to be given an ultimatum in the first place or would she have already dumped the other chap?" From what you've posted on here I think the answer is probably pretty obvious. Therefore follow TDD's plan.

You're just talking about the season tickets right? CoHo said they would sell 16k of them... Surely he wasn't wrong?

Did anything come of this or was it another false dawn?

Sorry, by pay the bank I meant pay the bank (at the end of the month). I don't for one second think that they are even close to being debt free but when you are this close to admin cash flow is all that matters in the short term. Eventually the other debt will also be a problem but right now the £27m (or whatever it is) at the end of the month and surviving to January are going to be their priority
-
Very true. they may also have installments still to pay on players that they no longer own... Those payments are going to hurt.
-
Purely speculating (as everybody else is) but I would have thought that the player sales to date must have raised enough to pay the bank... if not then they are really screwed. The difficulty for them will be funding operating costs during the period to January. If (IF) they were losing the £2m a month previously reported then they still won't be breaking even on a cash basis and will need significant further funding just to pay wages. DD may be able to provide this preventing the need for further player sales, or he may not...
-
Thant's what I thought. I suspect not soon enough to get much done before the end of August though. We'll see... Could be a lifeline for them but they still need somebody with a LOT of money this won't stop them running at a loss. Especially if they are still paying Sacha 15%.
-
Has this been announced or is it well/badly informed speculation?
-
Have they explained the good Dr's absence? Didn't he say he'd be there?
-
When we were at the dell I regularly struggled to get tickets. Even with my membership (I got a season ticket when I could afford one) if I didn't call on the morning that tickets wen't on sale I wouldn't be able to get one. Is that currently the case for your non-season ticket holders?
-
Therein lies the problem. Putting in something to deter time wasters will inevitably also put off some genuinely in need. For example I'm fairly sure my grandmother would have avoided going (she has now sadly passed on) even if she was seriously ill as she would have worried about the cost. Is a fine line.

The anticipation of your final implosion is starting to lose it's edge a little bit now TBH. When it first became obvious what was going to happen it was like waiting for Christmas, sadly Christmas seems to have been postponed until mid February. Would you please get on with it!
