  1. 65% (100-35) of 13.5K is 8,775... HTH
  2. When you continue can you then rise above level 20? Found that really frustrating towards the end.
  3. Did you see them? Could they have been accountants? Possibly doing some initial meetings prior to administration. I've overheard directors try to pass off my presence to staff as all sorts of things from an auditor to a "friend looking to invest".

Exactly! The outlay for any replacement/future buyer is: 1) For the club - probably not much by the look of it. 2) Running costs for the rest of the season. I suspect that they will be loss making so this could be significant. 3) On going loan repayments. Unless he buys them from an administrator of course. 4) New players to attempt to stay up. 5) New Stadium - Not straight away but will be required to create a sustainable business. 6) Training Ground - As for 5. Finding somebody prepared to buy them when all of the above will be required is going to be VERY VERY hard. If they go into administration they could be the first prem team to disappear altogether. If you think back to the "liquidation" vs "sale to an investor" discussions that we had when we were in Administration and apply the same arguments to the Skates... What do they have that an administrator would be able to get more from a new investor for then he would by shutting up shop? Players? There are still some valuable players left... but a number of them are out of contract at the end of the season and you might be able to sell the others in January prior to liquidating. The Ground? No Training Ground? No The only thing really going for them is their league status... Somebody might buy them with a view to getting back into the prem at the first attempt but given the need to pay for the new stadium etc (see above) there must be many many other clubs which offer a more attractive proposition.
  5. I blame Badboysaint
  6. I posted this on the skate threat on the main board but... IF all of the above is true what are the "final stages of the transaction". Given that he has "completed" or "met the deadlines" for everything else the only remaining part is for him to actually pay... If he were able to do so this could be done in a matter of hours if really necessary. Total bull. His capacity for spouting total total sh*te and expecting to be believed is phenomenal.
  7. Exactly. Taking soon to be Mrs. Clapham Saint to her first game. Her parents cr aped themselves when I told them we were playing Millwall. They honestly expect their fans to turn up with baseball bats.

Shame on me but I had forgotten about that. Glad I put my money on them to go down earlier today. Bet the odds won't be nearly as good tomorrow! :smt036:smt036:smt036:smt036:D :supz:

I agree with all of the above, however it is only the few pompey fans I am directly good friends with that I feel sorry for but that is becuase I would feel sorry for any of my mates who's team was about to go pop. The rest of the inbred mongtards can **** their ****ing **** up their **** ****ing **** ****.

Imagine winning the championship against them! That would be sweet. Can't decide if I'd rather win it at St. Mary's or Notarf Crap...

+1 Especially when they get hit with the -9

Me too. I want them to go into administration. They have been living beyond their means for a while now and this is the inevitable consequence. My concern though is that after we went into administration we had: Cons: League 1 -10 Squad in need of improvement Pros: Good stadium Good facilities Strong (but admittedly diminished support) We managed to find a buyer who could see that sensible investment in the squad, over time could return us to the premier league. They have Pros: Premier league - but probably not for long Some good players remain Cons: Sh*t ground sh*t facilities small loyal base of supporters with the bulk of recent attendances made up of JCLs. High wages require investment to sustain even before any money is spent on anything else. Any buyer looking to tak them on will have to fund a new stadium and training ground etc whilst also taking on responsibility for funding the current squad's wages. This is going to require a MUCH bigger outlay making them a much less attractive proposition. We nearly didn't make it, I fear that they may not be so lucky. Much as I dislike the majority of them this would be a shame.
  16. I don't usually bet other than a couple of quid on a game by game basis at St. Mary's so am a COMPLETE dunce when it comes to "real" betting. However... 365 are offering 8/1 on Pompey to finish bottom. I think the odds were better a few weeks ago but given that I'm confident they will be in administration shortly and start on -9 it seems like a good bet anyway. From the 365 site they are offering £100 for new customers on signing up. By the looks of it they aren't offering a free £100 bet though, just a second bet to the same value of my first one. Ideally I would like to effectively double the odds by placing the bet and then using the "free bet" to place another identical one. Does this work or will they catch me out by making me wait for the result of the first bet before I can place the second one (or some other catch)? Any suggestions appreciated CS
  17. Different rules. Its -9 in the Prem
  18. He's run out of excuses. Everything has been completed (at least once) with the small exception of actually raising any funds. Any at all.
  19. How many times does this man think he can make statements like this and still have people believe him? It's pathetic. I would say that he should walk away now and at least salvage some dignity but I think it’s too late for that.\\:D/\\:D/:badgrin:
  20. Mine won't let me re-size either.... Not sure why.
  21. FWIW this is exactly what I expect to happen. Raising cash in order to pay yourself/banks to which you have given guarantees before administration is also a very dangerous game... (IF that is what he is allegedly doing of course)
  22. Long lingering death. However I predict it being all over by Thursday of next week. Somebody posted a link to the bbc announcing a "meet the fans session on (I think) the 13th. I don't think he has the balls to turn up given the current state of affairs and that so will pull out just before. If he does turn up and tries to win the skates (that turn up) around then his ego is even bigger than I thought but I don't think it will be a pretty sight.
  23. or a bell? ok maybe not!

  25. I'd be willing to bet that he pulls out of the deal before this happens. How many times has the "take over" been due to be finalised? I think the last friday was the most recent definate date which would definately not be missed... There is no way that he is going to have the balls to stand in front of their fans, just before the season starts with no investment and any player worth more than a packet of pork scratchings sold.
