Ok then, 9 points. They'll still go down.

As things stand you are going to struggle. If you go into admin and lose 10 points then you are going to go down.
-
Except that you won't be a premiership club. If your takeover doesn't happen and you go into administration you will have 14 players and -10 points. You will be a championship club in the 2010/11 season and this will be reflected in the interest shown in you. Er, see above. Your whole argument is based upon your premiership status. Mine is that you will not be able to maintain it without significant investment in new players. This becomes even more unlikely if you go into administration and suffer -10. No banker in his right mind will lend pompey any additional money now unless fully secured. What security do you have to offer? Er.. none other than future revenue streams, which if you go into administration will not be received. I've never said anything about anybody's "rightful place". All I said was that I didn't want you to go out of business completely. Now (i.e. in the middle of a global recession) is not a good time to go into administration if you expect to come out of it with the ability to continue to compete at even close to a high level.

No, you are just hoping that you don't. Ok. I haven't seen your management accounts or any figures, however you have been entirely reliant upon loans from your current owner for a number of years. You have been operating with a wage bill in excess of your turnover. If you are not going to get any more money from Gaydamak where is it going to come from? Do you honestly beleive that a bank will let you run up an overdraft? Gaydamak is also (in my opinion and experience) showing all the signs of an owner who can see the writing on the wall and is trying to extract every penny that he can before it all goes tits. If it makes any difference I really hope that you don't go out of business. Especially after what we have just been thorugh.

If the take over doesn't go through I don't think it takes an IP to know that Administration is as close to a nailed on certainty for them as it is possible to get. FWIW I can't see the take over happening. Given the current owner's desperation to sell and the need to bring in new players before the season starts, if the Dr Al was in a position to complete he would have done so by now. His current posturing is clearly all Bull****. I also think that an Administrator will struggle to get anybody to buy them. We were very very lucky to get LM. However he saw a club two divisions below the mega bucks of the prem but at least with facilities. They on the otherhand will be a championship (or soon to be with the -10) club, one division better off but with a poor ground and facilities. The extra outlay required for a new stadium etc will put many potential investors off. I wouldn't want them to go out of business which is currently a possibility if things go against them. On a (slightly) different note... I wonder if they would be happy with Mark Fry doing their admin too?

Very pleased with this. Then again though I was dissapointed when at WGS's appointment at the time and thought that Burley would take us up so what do I know...

Yes. HTH

For one thing (as noted above) he kicked Eyal Berkovic in the head. Something I've waneted to do for ages!
-
Do you have a link? If he made an offer in May which then wasn't accepted until July...
-
I didn't go but read some reports of the last game saying that he looked as though he was back to his old self. Awesome if true. Obviously he could have just been trying to impress a watching scout... We'll see against Ajax I guess. Given the games and motivation I think Rasiak, Saga and John all have the ability to do very very well in L1
-
As maybe however, from your post it was implied that you had been speaking to her with regard to sponsering a player. She was trying to sell something to you and so was acting as a sales person... Any chance of an answer to the original question?
-
If Rasiak can be a r sed (and it sounds as though he was in the ast friendly) he could top score this league.
-
Did she sound genuine or just a sales person saying what she thinks you want to hear trying to get you to renew? Interesting if it's the former... Rasiak and Saga would be a formidable L1 front line.
-
So a team then....

Out of curiousity do the mods have a way of seeing which posters are on the most ignore lists on the forum?

GM in trying to provoke an argument shocker...

Sadly I doubt that they are going to wear a saints shirt again. :(

Fry should have just wound the bloody club up...

Lets move forward. We've had so much sh*te over the last few years can we worry about how things might or might not have been done differently another time? For the first time in ages I'm excited about football. Let's keep it that way for as long as possible! -
Also one other thing which I should have mentioned on my previous replies to GM... I don't beleive that BT will actually charge £1.5m in fees. GM, you are welocme to save this post to avoid you having to search for it future (or whatever it is that seem to enjoy doing so much) but if Begbies are paid (or even request to be paid for that matter) £1.5m then I will be amazed, owe GM a heartfelt appology and start a threat about how I should have listened to him. If they don't I will make a note to remember to point out to him that he is a scaremongering, trolling, tit only happy when he has something to be outraged.

Here we go... I'm sure you can tell me exactly what the date was when I posted that, however at the time there was no reason to expect that our administration would last over 3 months or that it would run into the complications (wowever caused) that it obviuosly did. I simply stated that as the work should be similar, I would therefore expect that the fee would be similar. At the time there was no reason to suppose differently. How long did Bournmouth's take? Did they have the same number of legal issues to be resolved? Did they have the same number of biders to sift through? You are also still taking the £1.5m as fact when at the moment it is nothing of the sort. As far as I am aware BT have not yet made any request for fees. Although they obviously will, untill they do so you or I (or a jorno) have no idea what there fees are and so can only speculate. You are operating on the assumptions that 1) BT's fees are going to be £1.5m 2) BT are not able to justify the time that will make up this amount. You might (that's MIGHT) be proved correct, however it is also quite possible that BT will charge the £500k that they originally quoted or that that the delays weren't their fault. WE DO NOT KNOW. What I object to isn't that you think the fees charged (be they £1bn or £1) are too high, (that is obviously your opinion and up to you), its that you whip yourself up into a foaming fury based upon half facts and guesswork and then present your guesses as cast iron fact.
