  1. I was about to basque in my own glory that I had got the right continent.
  2. I went out with a girl from Wigan once who said she had a ride with a scary bloke called Foxy on the carousel at Blackpool.
  3. Didn'T DO too well betting with their shares.
  4. Its all Greek to me.or is that Spanish...ole
  5. 3/1 is something with the donkey having only three legs and no tail to pin anything on, so I was told. This is probably why Blackpool beat us at St Marys as they brought better Donkeys with them than we have at St Marys, on the day, that is . Not sure about Doncaster. Possibly better looking as well, not that I am an expert on donkey racing or beauty parades for donkeys of any sort. Not that it helps with betting/gambling but just in case you go to Blackpool for the away game and visit the beach and fall in love with a donkey. Best to rember they can't all run, so you might be lucky. Bet your impressed with me.... he haw
  6. Snowballs2 From one old codger to another, wishing you well and hoping you are light on your feet , very soon soon after your medicine.
  7. You are right it is Saints to win or come second and the Each way was in case Saints only came third. Not quite understanding this betting lark boss.
  8. My votes for Keith every time and for some of our readers bring in Charles Sale of the Mail for a reasoned, balanced non football based knowledge view(I would have put the wife forward but she knows a little more about football than Charlie and therefore it would not be a balanced view. To be honest she knows absolutely nothing about the game and would have to rely on others..bit like Charlie I suppose) Bring back Keith a true journalist in the world of Saints.
  9. Pearson for me and thats nothing against JP who I think will need this season and most of next to find his feet and we can't afford that time or turmoil at the club. I honestly believe JP is not allowed to run the team/squad his own way and therefore has battled under all sorts of outside pressure and not because of money as many loans have proved. Pearson every time.
  10. 69 and its all positions go for Painey the dirty old bugger. Not forgetting Sir Syd on the other wing and promotion is ours for the taking.
  11. A very good goalkeeper and glad we still have him at Saints. You are not going to get anyone better around the leagues even if we had a little money. Stick with this guy he will get even better as the season wears on. Plus he is our goalie others would love to have him. My coaching of Hammond is not up to speed yet and he will not be ready til next season so Kelvin stick at it.
  12. Question for all you high powered money people on this forum From all this financial news coming out of the USA and circulating the world, I saw a bit of financial information we could possibly use. Every day more money is printed for Monopoly than the US Treasury. If this is the case all Saints supporters should pool their Monopoly money buy the club and hope Lowey and Wildey don't notice. Better than trying to pool our shares..Got to be worth a try.
  13. I am sure I saw Pompey for sale on ebay but to be fair Saints were in the under a tenner section.
  14. In that case he will be in the squad for Norwich and we will all find out. If training yet. Surprised he was not in squad for Doncaster as a sub at least. Then again he could be one for the future. The truth of the matter is he as good as Patterson. Not worried about numbers on books but must be close to overload on the team bus and particularly wages. We win against Norwich and I will stop worrying. A win at Coventry would be nice as well and these loan signings whether fit or not will not be required some time soon.
  15. Terry Paine is hopefully on his way to Southampton from South Africa in the near future for his book signing etc. My suggestion would be to give him a team number whilst he is here and get a couple of games out of him.At least he is fit even at 60 ish he probably could play better than the three missing young players. Then do a video of Painey and show it to Dyer if he returns from Sheffield. Even at 60 he should show young Dyer what real wing play is required.
  16. Someone mentioned three Footballers in plaster caste had been seen at The General Hospital in Southampton. You may well ask about Saints and the NHS. Well to be fair we are on cutbacks all round at the Saints. iF IT is our three xmas signings then save the numbers for the moment it would only be an assessment under the NHS and the waiting list is 18 months long.
  17. We all know and hope that all pro footballers play to the best of their ability for themselves, the club and supporters. Maybe the Barnsley support have been going through what we had to put up with over the years watching some of our wantaway players.
  18. Doddy is still in the Southampton area and still involved with ex Saints football and local business interests. He is scouting for Gareth Southgate at the moment on behalf of Middlesborough in the south of England. Whether he has top of the range motor cars would not be my business. His football part time job is current info and in the public domain. Apart from Tisdale and Basham at Exeter, Russell Osman who still resides in Bristol has been involved in coaching to assist Tisdale until recently. I believe that Osman follows his son who may well be at the Exeter Academy? Osman is also known to Scout for clubs? Car? Whilst Poke is injured the very tall Beavon ex Saint is on loan at Torquay from Shrewsbury? I live in this part of the world and visit various games including Torquay and Exeter but will look out for top of the range cars out of curiosity. Most of the players at these two exciting clubs have Ford Cortinas. For Info in our Exeter paper it states EX Portsmouth goalkeeper 18 year old Nick Jordan rolled his Renault Clio on A30/A35 junction.2am Sunday. Twice the limit in collision with another car. When will they ever learn. I only mention this as now he plays as reserve at Exeter he had a clio and not a Ford Cortina and definitely not a Mazeratti. His family still live in Pompey area.
  19. sorry to hear this but I am sure many posters are still in shock with Saints winning and all that. I had sent my own papers etc through TT but still wish to be part of any posters response to wish Ron the very best. Like with TT, I would like to thank you for the work you put in on this site and for good causes like Ron. I think the http://www.giveittoron.co.uk is well worth a look for all fellow posters as I would like to see Ron back on his pins and a nostalgic return to Saints. I think the turn out would be heart warming and would lift his spirits no end.
  20. Sorry about that but the doctor is getting to grips with both of them and I should be alright for Norwich. Saints to win 3-0
  21. You know you enjoy it and in any case once again your wrong it is 99% we love it when they win.
  22. Wotton would always be my choice in the team penalties and in the mix for certain free kicks. Mind you we should go American and bring MLT on as a kicker..probaly still do the job.
  23. I try to protect the manager as much as possible because he means well and he is all we have. I am hoping that Lowey is doing us all a favour and staying out of it. He is not the Football Chairman and even Wildey should let the coach get on with it. Hopefully to-day JP is back on track and allowed to play his team in his style formation. Mind you need a win against Norwich please. Myopinion of course and nothing personal towards Lowey as I am sure he has broad shoulders.
  24. Nothing to do with Lowey. All credit to JP who is starting to become his own man and credit to him..Mutiny on board. Let us hope he continues with his new found belief to coach and manage this team.
  25. What about good old OSM first time in years.
