According to Mail Sport, we went back after the loan with option was rejected by Palace for Rak-Sakyi. Permanent offer now also rejected. Time to move on or do we just need to increase our offer?
-
If we do find a new striker that scores us 17+ goals, then I’ll easily get over them ripping us off.

In summary, sounds like everyone is involved in the transfers. Ball in Che’s court but not expecting him to sign any time soon. Strategy is for hungry players that are desperate to play for us as well as in the PL.

Some more comments from Martin on Che, sounds like the contract offer is still there for him but we aren’t expecting him to sign it any time soon. https://x.com/lewiscoombes/status/1814018121310593410?s=46&t=7raSKCMt6LV8RJ1C2d39WQ

Joke that they are charging us £5 to watch a pre season friendly at Eastleigh. Also charging again this season to listen to the radio coverage, which was always free in previous PL seasons. Looks like the EFL rip off stuff has come up with us. https://x.com/southamptonfc/status/1814012453807878454?s=46&t=7raSKCMt6LV8RJ1C2d39WQ

Under Armour were easily our worst kit provider. Designs were poor, fit was poor.

They didn’t show him the love we did, that’s for sure. That plus the Martin relationship will have swung things in our favour. He was at Ipswich from 7-21 years old, so must have strong feelings for them still even if it did end on a sour note. Facts are that he’s played his best footy under Martin at Swansea and Saints and last season will have been a really positive experience for him. If the rumours are true and Ipswich offered more wages, then big respect to Flynn for putting football first, like many don’t.
-
Interesting that Ipswich gave him something to think about but he made the right call in the end, thankfully! Such an important signing, key to the way we play and my favourite player last season by far. Hope we can kick on together now as relegation would surely mean we could lose him.

Kits are fine, sponsor does ruin them but if that’s the biggest offer then we take it. For me red and white stripes for home and a yellow away kit is my preference, so can’t complain.
-
Doesn’t look too dissimilar to our adidas striped kit. It’s just a generic red and white kit. As much saints and it is Sunderland as it is Sheffield United. I find the sponsor naff with the yellow ‘O’ and pointless extra white circles beneath bit.
-
Other than the terrible sponsor logo, what’s wrong with it?
-
Have you seen it already or just going off the DH Gate image?
-
My moral compass agrees but sadly Rollbit will be paying around double such a sponsor and in order to be as competitive as possible, we must sell our soul to the highest bidder. It will be interesting to see how sponsorship numbers change when the ban is in force. I’m hoping we are still in the PL to find out.

Sky reporting he’s completed his medical and just finalising contract details, announcement could be in next 24 hours

This is interesting. The question is if Martin wants him. I’m all for keeping him, offers us something different and with no Stu (or replacement so far) it makes sense to keep. However, if Martin can’t trust him in his system, he’s definitely one that can raise funds to buy others.

That was a fake Fabrizio Romano account. Fake news.

ABK has now had his shoulder surgery. Managing it through natural recovery/exercises all started when he wanted to make the German national team squad for the World Cup and it has plagued him since. You would hope that a recurrence of the shoulder injury popping back out easily should be a thing of the past now. The negatives are he’s not played much footy for a while and noises through Fabrizio Romano suggest he wants a new challenge. If we could motivate him to stay, I think he could play a big role. We all saw his raw attributes and it’s only really been his shoulder troubles that have kept him from progressing. Due to his interest in moving on and how that sale could go in full into the FFP tracker, I would expect he will inevitably leave us.
-
Sounds like an announcement today then. Expect this will get the KWP & Downes deals moving.

It’s not dissimilar to the price way got Cedric for all that time ago? Fair play is he’s any cop. Can’t say I’ve seen him play but seems to have been watched by some decent teams and looks like a really solid signing based on YouTube/stats.
