  2. Interesting that Dave Horseman has said we’ve lacked cutting edge in these first 2 matches (& I know I’ve not seem either of them in training) but both trialists earlier in the summer gave us exactly that by all accounts. Hopefully as we get sharper, the goals will come.
  3. The interesting thing about him is we know he has talent — but what he needs to have is the application & mentality that Ralph wants.
  4. Think we’re still looking add more if we can. 2 triallists we’re on the bench for the U18’s at the weekend.
  5. Indeed. It’s been mentioned before, but Crocker & Glover will know him, too.
  6. Can we get the next one in… https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/kerr-smith-transfer-race-crystal-24821260
  7. Bit of both, I reckon.
  8. Yes.
  9. Awaiting confirmation… but…
  10. Left-back / Wing-back.
  11. We want him. But so do lots of others.
  12. Ended 0-0. Doyle on the bench!
  13. A damn fine pod.
  14. Indeed. Clearing out more of #TheUnsellables has given us some wiggle-room, though.
  15. Ward-Prowse’s reward for staying at Saints Southampton and England midfielder James Ward-Prowse has become the club’s highest-paid player of all time, writes Dan Sheldon. The 26-year-old, who was subject to a £25 million bid from Aston Villa this summer, put an end to speculation over his future by agreeing a new five-year deal at St Mary’s. His new contract has seen him reach £100,000 a week, which takes him above Theo Walcott and goalkeeper Fraser Forster as the top earner at the club. It is also believed there is no release clause inserted into the new agreement, although there’s an understanding Southampton won’t stand in his way if one of the Premier League’s top sides make an acceptable offer. The club’s captain has become an instrumental part of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team and narrowly missed out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 England squad. This summer was the first time he has been seriously linked with a move away from Southampton, a team he joined aged eight, but Southampton’s board weren’t prepared to entertain any offers.
  16. Spot on, mate. WTF was I thinking. Calling @Lighthouse to change the title, please.
  17. He has improved. So happy Cavani wasn't involved today, though.
  18. They def want wide players but don't get why we would sell him at all. Has to be 1 of our best attackers?
