Yeah, I just feel like we don't know the whole truth. Maybe he really is like a Sith Lord in the board room. Maybe he's not. Maybe they've just had a bad couple of windows but the next ones will be better. It's so difficult to balance up. I mean, Hughes' last set of transfers at Stoke weren't exactly stunning. Overall, I don't have an issue with us trying to keep VvD. The biggest issue that I have with us lately is our "January centre-back roulette" game we have played for the last couple of Winter windows.

With the recent Telegraph article saying that Cedric (& Bertrand) might be allowed to move if we get a big enough offer for him, I was curious what people think he's worth? Is Pereira @ £25m a good benchmark?

Yeah, those are the best ones to sign. Doesn't always work (Clasie etc) but we've got a decent average.

I have no reason to not believe it, but I wonder who Hughes in negotiating with about Les' lack of involvement. Because Les is usually the negotiator.
