  1. Agree with this. Assuming we can still get the results, it seems to work well for us with most players getting a game every 7 days. It's benefited Yoshida massively IMO. It's also very useful for the players coming back from injury as we don't put too much load on them.
  2. I don't want to see a weakened team - I just tried to predict what Claude's team will be.
  3. @Guardian_Sport: West Brom’s Saido Berahino returns to fitness camp in France: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/nov/20/west-broms-saido-berahino-returns-fitness-camp-france?CMP=share_btn_tw
  4. It's very possible. Would give Romeu are break. Pleased to see Reed back - he got injured a little while back and I wasn't sure how serious it was at the time.
  5. I don't necessarily remember a Hatrick, but I remember Flo being over for training. I recall Souness had a load of players over for trials at around the same time.
  6. I'm not focusing on different permutations just yet - I'm starting with a very basic desire: PLEASE SCORE AWAY FROM HOME IN EUROPE SAINTS!!!
  7. Tadic & JWP to be assessed Monday in regards to their chances of of being fit for Prague.
  8. This one is tricky to predict. I think Claude will make 8 changes. ------------Forster----------- Martina Yoshida Virgil McQueen ------------Romeu----------- --------JWP----Clasie------- -------------Tadic------------ ------Long---Rodriguez------
  9. LeG with a bombshell if that's true. MLG will likely wee himself when he reads that
  10. I'd rather draw after not creating chances rather than losing after missing 20 chances.
  11. I'm pretty sure I can remember Ronald saying when he joined that Tadic & Pelle were both "already on the list".
  12. I'm sure the lads that destroyed Crawley really hated being involved...
  13. I just see their tempo/high-press causing us BIG problems. Even if Lallana/Coutinho missing, Mane/Firmino/Sturridge will be a nightmare. Need to take our chances tomorrow.
  14. I know, but I'm in "full-on paranoia" mode during take-over rumours
  15. It does sound a little bit like a "come and get me" plea from Les. Hope he stays out if new owners come in. He's been the constant for us.
  16. That's Merseyside for you.
  17. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC #SaintsFC boss Claude Puel hopes to have @OficialCedric back available for Saturday's clash with #LFC. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC Claude Puel says Dušan Tadić should be okay to feature for #SaintsFC against #LFC this weekend. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC Claude Puel hopes #SaintsFC's @FraserForster and @ryanbertrand3 will be available for Saturday, but says they'll be assessed again today.
  18. Lets hope he does. Although next summer he will be entering the slightly dicey 'Clyne/Wanyama' final year territory. A 3 year contract seemed unusual when we signed him.
  19. - KLOPP ON LALLANA: "With Adam, we don't know yet exactly. We haven't done a scan until now. It will be close. Hopefully not too serious." - KLOPP ON SOUTHAMPTON: “My respect for Southampton couldn’t be bigger. What I saw is that they had to replace a very good manager and they made a great replacement. Redmond quite a good choice to replace Pelle. They kept Tadic – a very good player. All around it’s a good team with good players. The scouting is obviously really good. I think that’s how the job should be done, but we want to go there and win, rather than celebrate Southampton's scouting department."
  20. I basically read the situation that he felt he'd taken it as far as he could and was never going to sign a new contract anyway.
  21. My incredibly un-educated & un-researched opinion is that unless a prospective purchaser is both well intentioned & completely loaded, I'm quite happy to keep going as we are. The Liebherr ownership has been utterly fantastic.
  22. I hope it's not the Chinese version of 'Micky Fialka' & Pinnacle who's buying us.
  23. The reporter of that article tweeted the following: tariq panja ‏@tariqpanja Lander, the Chinese co. keen to buy Southampton, has requested its shares remain suspended because of possibility of a "major" acquisition tariq panja ‏@tariqpanja In its statement, Lander didn't name what it's acquisition targets were.
  24. I still have no idea if this is a good thing or not.
