  1. Had a feeling this would kick off after what Monk posted yesterday.
  2. It's worthy of discussion, Charlie. I think I posted similar in another thread - but Marco Benassi & Mario Lemina are both 6ft. I'd sign Clasie & another one.
  3. Left work when it was half-time at 1-1. Just got home and checked score (!)
  4. - After the world cup Vlaar - After last season Vlaar
  5. Southampton Holland ‏@DutchSaintsFC Jordy Clasie in Dutch newspaper @ADnl: ''I've read Koeman's comments. If Schneiderlin leaves, we will see" #saintsfc *Saint-Armstrong re-tweeted it, so he should get credit for spotting it.
  6. Steven Nzonzi will sign for Sevilla in the next 48 hours http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/stoke-city/11726468/Steven-Nzonzi-to-sign-for-Sevilla-after-Stoke-City-reluctantly-accept-7-million-bid.html ^ Looks like Stoke might be joining us in the hunt for a defensive midfielder. Plus they might soon have the Begovic cash to play with as well. Wonder if this has any impact on our interest in Krychowiak??
  7. People will sneer at that comment, but I still love it when we get linked with a quality FM player! Had the same feeling with Gradel the other day - Played his part in many promotion campaigns for me

    Toby

I think we should. Toby was basically 1st choice back-up if Morgan/Big Vic got injured or suspended. Clasie & another would be ideal for me - especially with Europe to take into consideration. (Maybe this is where the Benassi & Mario Lemina links have come from).
  9. Think these are the centre-back's we've been linked with this summer: - Bruno Martins Indi - Terence Kongolo - Sven van Beek - Virgil van Dijk - Fabian Schar - Aleksandar Dragovic - Papy Djilobodji - Hector Moreno - Angelo Ogbonna - Ron Vlaar
  10. Debayo, I think plays left back.

Let's move on & try and find a replacement somewhere near as good as Toby was. He was brilliant for us.
  12. Raheem Sterling refuses to go on tour with Liverpool in attempt to force through Man City move http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/11725151/Raheem-Sterling-refuses-to-join-Liverpool-tour.html ^ Sh*tty behaviour, if true, but good to see them getting a taste of their own medicine.
  13. I know he's still contracted MLG - I was referring to the mysterious Mayuka tweet that Clarkey mentioned about him being released.
  14. Wasn't he injured for the back end of the season too?
  15. I remember that mysterious post. Was surprised it wasn't announced in the retained list.
  16. Cabaye mulls over Crystal Palace move after deal agreed with PSG http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jul/07/yohan-cabaye-crystal-palace-psg?CMP=share_btn_tw
  17. About £16m? - Doable if we get the Morgan money - There was also talk that he wants Champs league though which could scupper it. Different physical attributes to Clasie, I believe - Quite powerful in the air.
  18. Very much. I don't recall Krychowiak's buy-out, but it was fairly hefty wasn't it?
  19. Yeah, might be encapsulated by the bit on "The March" video yesterday - the bit where Les said about players: "that one's more difficult - shall we go for that one?" - 1st thing I thought of was Imbula!
  20. We shall see - I would imagine so.

    Toby

    I sincerely hope so.
  22. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport Dutch paper De Telegraaf saying #saintsfc bid €12m for Sevilla's Grzegorz Krychowiak - saying bid is derisory & ridiculous >> Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport >> De Telegraaf saying Jordy Clasie more realistic option & one Koeman turning to #saintsfc
  23. Nice article. Good find!

ALDERWEIRELD SAINTS' NO. 1 TARGET Sky Sports understands that Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld is still Southampton's No. 1 target, despite the Belgium having undergone a medical at Spurs earlier today. And we also believe that the south cost club have made an offer of €20m for the player in the hope of turning last season's loan move into a permanent deal this summer. However, the Saints have yet to receive a response from Atleti.
