SUNDERLAND IN BORINI TALKS Sunderland are in talks to sign Fabio Borini from Liverpool on season-long loan, according to Sky sources. We understand Borini has been told he has no future at Liverpool and now could be set to move to the Stadium of Light even though he turned down a permanent move there last summer.

True. I'd imagine this will get confirmed or debunked very quickly. Would be odd timing, especially with his comments re: Virgil.

VILLA IN FONTE TALKS Aston Villa could be set to make another signing this summer as we understand they are talks to sign Southampton captain Jose Fonte. The defender signed a new deal last summer until 2017 but it is understood that Villa and Everton are interested in signing him. Saints, though, would not let him leave without signing a replacement centre-back and Celtic's Virgil van Dijk is their number one target.

DEILA HOPES TO KEEP VAN DIJK Virgil van Dijk seems to be a wanted man this window, but Celtic boss Ronny Deila still hopes to keep hold of the defender. Van Dijk has reportedly attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Southampton, but Deila told Sky Sports News HQ: "He is staying with Celtic. "You never know with football but we don’t need to sell him, we need him through the (Champions League) qualifiers and hopefully if we get through he has a view to playing Champions League football with us."

He'd be great, but I'm guessing Guan means central when he says "LCM". Vilhena fits the bill to the description, only he's been linked before.

Good news to get the Romeu deal over the line. We definitely needed some extra physicality in midfield. Exciting to hear about another midfielder too? Guessing more of an AMC?

Good article S-A. I love seeing who other teams sign & how they go about their business in regards to re-shaping squads etc. It's always with the caveat that some of them are going to crash & burn though! We're in a good place though & I like how we go about our business.

Funnily enough, if it's £7m (& if we are to assume it's £10m for Virgil) then it pretty much bring's our outgoing ££'s bang in-line with our incoming ££'s.

I mainly remember Romeu from FM. Seem to recall him joining from Barca and he was very highly rated. Surprised he's still there.
