  1. K.Billy is still around but Guan 2.0 hasn't been seen for a few months...

  3. It's 'on demand' now too.
  4. This one. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?53856-Leave-pelle-out-ffs&p=2185049#post2185049
  5. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/9849303? LOL @ "Sky Sources" (They've just watched the Les interview )
  6. Jeremy Wilson's excellent piece on last summer is always worth a re-visit... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/11140340/The-inside-story-of-Southamptons-brilliant-start-to-the-Premier-League-season-under-Ronald-Koeman.html
  7. Would be brilliant wouldn't it? Toby's the tricky one because it's not really in our hands.
  8. Yeah, getting Austin for £10m would be great business. The only thing I'm not sure about because I've not seen enough of him is how his hold-up play is. Hell of a finisher (with both feet too). His goal @ St Mary's this season was quality.
  9. I re-watched that video just the other day actually and whilst we had a bit of a 'mare, the one thing we can't ever legislate for (and this relates to this summer) is when players throw their dummies out of the pram and demand to leave.
  10. Apologies in advance if this doesn't warrant a new thread.
  11. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/jose-fonte-interesting-liverpool-southampton-5692672 Well, it's an upgrade over Cardiff from last summer.
  12. Yeah, Giroud gets stick from not being "top class" but he makes such a difference to that team. Gives them a focal point & outlet.
  13. Agree, £10m for the 4th top scorer in the prem is great value. I like it when we still go in for players we've been linked from the old days - Fair play to Austin for making the jumps up the league.
  14. re: Alves to Utd BALAGUE ON ALVES Convinced D. Alves will remain at Barcelona. By the way, his form in the last 2 months, on the way to end of his contract, is outstanding — Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) May 13, 2015
  15. ALVES CLOSE TO MAN UTD DEAL? Manchester United are very close to confirming a deal for Barcelona right-back Dani Alves, according to Catalan newspaper Sport. The paper report that the player will snub Barca after United offered him a contract that was ‘far superior’ to the one on the table from the Spanish club. The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer as his contract at the Nou Camp expires this summer.
  16. I'd certainly take him on loan for a year. Can't image LvG wanting to give Koeman any favours, but possibly could take him on loan as part of a prospective deal for Clyne.
  17. Not much really as he plays on the other wing.
  18. RK: “It’s a good start to the summer business for us because it shows that everyone here is convinced by what we want to achieve.” Hell yeah.
  19. Signed a 5 year deal, I think.
  20. We shall see. If Utd are in for him, he'll leave. If they (or any other champs league club) isn't in for him, he'll probably sign a contract with us.
  21. Simon Peach @SimonPeach Nathaniel Clyne's deadline to give #SaintsFC a decision on his future has passed, but I understand contract negotiations have reopened Simon Peach @SimonPeach Talks had stalled with Clyne so the reopening of negotiations positive for #SaintsFC. Interested to hear what Koeman says on Thursday.
  22. Save the £5m+ & use it towards signing Matt Phillips or Nathan Redmond.
  23. Because Rodgers has an amazing track record of signing strikers & getting the best out of them
