I'd be surprised if Milner is on 200k - Saw a report that he turned down around 135k at City and took less to play 1st team football. TBF, I can't imagine him as a Gerrard replacement, but good cover for all kinds of positions. No doubt he fits the Rodgers criteria of "great character".

TOFFEES IN CLEVERLEY TALKS Everton have reportedly opened talks with Tom Cleverley over a summer move. The 25-year-old is out of contract at Manchester United and, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees have started negotiations with his representative. Apparently Everton will face competition from Arsenal, Southampton, and Aston Villa, where Cleverley spent last season on loan.

I'd absolutely love him to sign here permanently. Not only is he a Rolls Royce of a centre-back, but it's his versatility that would be missed by us. 2nd choice right-back, as well as next in-line if Big Vic or Morgan aren't around. He'd leave us with more than one position to replace.
