According to reports in Italy, Norwich are closing in on the signing of Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella, with the Italian champions needing to sell a forward after bringing in Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

The thought crossed my mind. It did feel as though he was brought in a similar manner to Forren, IMO. He's more versatile though. Big season for him. He needs to deliver pre-season.

Chaplow was a steal for 50k. He really was too good for league 1 & was a great signing for us. Did a job for us in the Championship too - Particularly remember him looking fantastic against Middlesbrough @ St Mary's where he looked fantastic. Same here. Always found Norwich to be quite orthodox & organised. But in signing Redmond and (the greatest named player ever) Ricky van Wolfswinkel, it seems like they're trying to add some flair to the team.

As a sidenote - Everytime I check the Sky transfer clockwatch - Sunderland seem to sign a player... (Think it's 2 today, actually)
