  1. There's weird sense of irony when on the day we release Forecast (The proxy for Bale's sell-on clause), Bale himself is linked with a 80-100m move with Real Madrid.
  2. Can remember some fantastic crosses for Lambert from the pair of them.
  3. Agreed - I think we'd be looking at clearing 15-16 players off the books. We'll probably loan a few few out - Think I'm right in saying that since Cortese came in, we've actually only sold 2 players. (Ox & Harding)

  5. I'd not heard of him, just looked him up & found this description on a scouse forum... He's an 23 year old ACM who can play wide as well. I've only seen highlights from Numberg games but he looks a good player! He only moved there last summer but has had a great first season, 10 assists, 4 goals, 81% pass completion rate, very tricky and loves a tackle.
  6. RIP Ron.
  7. I see what you're saying, but then you might just land yourself a Suarez or a van Nistelrooy.
  8. Historically, I believe the HCDAJFU thread is also the place for all other transfer rumours...

  10. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach #SaintsFC's @Luke_shaw3 out of the England Under-21s squad for Euro 2013. Third time in a row he has pulled out through injury/illness.
  11. Yes please. Eyed up by City, Spurs & Arsenal. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4921410/Roma-star-Miralem-Pjanic-eyed-by-host-of-top-Prem-clubs.html
  12. Ah! - The Alan Nixon ITK debate begins already
  13. Either or both would be great.
  14. I always imagined he'd be a good signing for a Hull or Palace (if they come up). Maybe I'm selling him short a bit.
  15. I understand where you're coming from on this. From the outside-looking-in, his City move seemed like a joke to me. He was never going to get a look in there, IMO. You'd hope he'd get his hunger back if he joined us. The plus would surely be the cheaper transfer fee (compared to say, £12m for Ince) & his versatility. He can probably operate in any of the front 4 positions.
  16. I read that Chaplow apparently signed a year extension, which wasn't publicised. Unsure if that was true at the time.
  17. Don't quote me on this. - Forecast - Richardson - Butterfield - Dickson - Seaborne - Hoskins (I think)
  18. No. Was a very good player for us when we needed him in league 1 though. Cracking goal vs Leeds to get us started in the Championship too. I will remember his time here fondly.
  19. If anyone wins the 'mates with Jose' stakes, it's Steve Clarke @ WBA.
  20. Agree completely. Lukaku is the defintion of "top 4" striker IMO.
  21. I would agree. Depends who they get in this summer I suppose. I would take Lukaku here in a heartbeat.

  23. Is a fair point. Only have to look at the QPR comments re: Samba's fitness when they signed him.
