Do you ever feel sorry for the opposition..?
St_Tel49 replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Me too. Actually - our fans were singing "Going Down, Going Down..." etc during the game but when it became clear that they WERE going down our fans stopped the chant. Which was fair play to us I thought. We applauded them off the field too but I don't suppose that that made them feel any better. -
If Guly signs I will not give a stuff if no-one else does - assuming AOC goes nowhere
-
It could be as simple as that!.
-
And to think that someone wanted to put Guly in a Taxi instead
-
I think that you have missed my point. I was not commenting on his record -which is outstanding in anyone's terms - but more the public anguish. He should have kept things to himself until he had made his decision.

I was getting really ****ed off about how much time they were spending on it on Solent on Saturday and its all come to a great big nothing.

A team needs two quality keepers and we have them. Bart is a good keeper but Kelv is still No 1 for me. I don't have a problem if Bart gets the Man U call because it is a cup game.

Warnock's worse - if only because he has got a whiney voice at the best of times.

As long as mate isn't a Manure supporter.

I am disappointed about how many posters seem so anxious to sell the lad just because somebody quotes £10m. We are under no financial pressure whatsoever to sell and for the lad's own sake he is better off staying here for the time being. I doubt that sitting in a flat in London counting his money will make him any happier than playing football here. I have no doubt that NC will make him a good financial offer in due course though it would be unlikely to match a top 5 clubs offer.

Apart from you, does anyone give a damn about whether there is one thread or two? Classic internet forum whinicking!!

Pompey - Oh!

I think that we can close this thread now

Correction - today.

I don't care if we do not sign anyone else this window - we have the one that matters. This has made my weekend - irrespective of the result tomorrow.

Obviously more than her - that's your problem

I cannot say that I am mad on him but he gets the spot ahead of Martin which suggests that NA thinks something of him and I would concede that he knows more than I do .

That is one of those "What if?" discussions which people love but don't actually get you anywhere. You can't change history! (I'm bidding for Most Obvious Statement of the Day Award )

Exeter reject Brighton bid for playmaker Ryan Harley

There's nothing wrong with reasoned speculation if the poster makes that clear as he does in this case. Its much better than wild speculation or claims to be ITK and gives us something to debate. -
I suspect that the best we can hope for is that he signs on the understanding that if he gets a really good offer we will not stand in his way. That way we get a good fee for him. I think that some posters are denigrating him in saying that a lower level premiership club is the best he can hope for. He looked very comfortable against the Skates last year (OK - they got relegated) but he looked just as comfortable against Bolton this year. He is premiership class already. If we could only persuade him to hang in there for another season and a half with the promise that we will let him go if we don't make the premiership.....

To be fair, he was only adopting the normal English person's method of communicating with foreigners who don't speak English.
-
The fact that it does not correspond with your view of the world does not necessarily make it tripe. Something was quite clearly wrong for so many players to have started the season in such poor form.

Frankly, there are more weak links in the fanbase
