  1. Utterly pedantic but BATE are playing Astana so they both can't go through. 2-0 Rostov so we are looking for another favour in EL Rosenberg looks like next best.
  2. I want to go to Kazakhstan because (to me) it represents the ultimate test of who I am as a Saints Fan to go to that game. Some people may have different criteria but that is mine. This involves a: Astana qualifing b: Saints getting in Pot 3 c: We actually get them And even then it will be tinged with a mild disapointment that Kairat (which is just that bit further) didn't get through. Saints getting in Pot 3 is IMPERATIVE
  3. I dunno why it did all those smiley faces... It looked like it did on wiki before I posted it... That Record high in December is hilarious 4C - like that's the highest its EVER been.
  4. Astana is the 2nd coldest Capital City in the world after Ulan Bator in Mongolia. 5. The 3,800 miles to Kazakhstan suddenly seems a lot closer tonight. They better not blow that 2nd leg. I'd be *disappointed* if we only get Qabala (3,100 miles) that's like popping down the corner shop for a pint of milk in comparison.
  6. Lille OUT after losing to Qabala - trip to Azerbaijan could be on. St Eitienne scored while I was typing and AEK Athens now need 2. Genk score in Cork who now need 3 Lubin I'm not sure would keep their coeff cos they basicaly stole Partizan Belgrades by knocking them out. I think its reset for Play off but I'm happy to be corrected - they are 1-1 and looking out to SonderskE (wonder why that E is capital on the end?)
  7. Teams higher than us: AZ Alkmaar Ned 43.612 (NOT AT RISK winning away in PAS Giannia who now need 3) Racing Genk ** Bel 36.000 (AT RISK not Kicked off - narrow 1-0 lead against Cork) Lille OSC Fra 29.549 (AT RISK Losing in Azerbaijan to Qabala but only need 1 goal) AS Saint-Étienne Fra 26.049 (AT RISK 0-0 v AEK Athens after 0-0 1st Leg - I'm watching this and AEK look better) AA Gent Bel 25.000 (NOT AT RISK after 5-0 1st leg win) FK Krasnodar Rus 24.216 (ALREADY THROUGH 7-1 agg) Rapid Wien Aut 23.520 (AT RISK Not kicked off but 0-0 after 1st leg vs Topedo Zhodino but at home) Slovan Liberec Cze 22.085 (ALREADY THROUGH on tuesday) NK Maribor ** Slo 21.625 (AT RISK 1-1 vs Aberdeen who need an away goal) Maccabi Tel-Aviv * Isr 20.225 (NOT AT RISK 3-1 from 1st leg and already 1 up agains Tagu Jiu) Spartak Moscow Rus 19.216 (OUT! After losing 0-1 to AEK Larnica of Cyprus - That is one long trip gone) Austria Wien ** Aut 19.020 (AT RISK were heading out till 88th min goal v Trvana looks like ET 0-1 1st Leg 0-1 2nd Leg)
  8. kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/seedel2016.html Has been updated and has us where we were before UCL3 and UEL3 - needing 3 teams higher to go out.
  9. Maccabi Tel Aviv through 2-1 watched it on the stream. Kairat (who had Arshavin and Tymochuk playing for them) looked to have got to ET but MTA captain crashed one in from edge of the box in 86th minute. Funny Stadium that one in Tel Aviv, think Huddesfield but nowt behind the goals. Wouldn't mind going to Israel.
  10. My dream of going to Kazakhstan is in trouble after Kairat were held 1-1 to Macabi Tel Aviv in the 1st leg. Yossi Benoyun with an injury time equalizer. Trust P****y scum to ruin your day. Astana can still drop in from CL as long as they see off Zalgaris Vilnius in the 2nd leg. They will likely play Celtic in CLQ3.
  11. They are throwing in the Season Review DVD with every shirt which is nice considering it normally costs about £17
  12. Is there any way of pre-empting the schedule before the draw based on our (prospective) pot? Work won't give me matchday 3 off. Need Matchday 3 to be Home. It seems to be 4 possibles and if you start at home or away you finish there as well. HAHAAH and AHHAHA are good AHAHHA and HAAHAH are bad.
  13. Friday 26th August in Monaco 1st Group Matchday Thurs 15th Sep (20 Days after draw) 2nd Group Matchday Thurs 29th Sep (34 Days after draw) There is a possibility that teams in the same city on a Thursday may have games moved to a Tues or Weds.
  14. Valur, Breiðablik and KR all enter at First Qualifying and would have to win through 4 Two-Legged ties to enter the Group and face Saints. FH will likely come down from Champions League into 3rd Qualifying and may have more of a chance. No Icelandic team has ever made the group stages of either the CL or EL. Stjarnan got close to the EL group in 2014 winning through 3 rounds (including notable victories over Motherwell and Lech Poznan) before losing 9-0 on agg. to Inter Milan in the Play-Off round.
  15. Who would you like? Not sure what pot we'll be in but I'll say: Inter Milan Hibernian (nice easy trip) Kairat Almaty (stupidly long trip only likely to take about 200 fans and I want to be one of them) Alternative: AEK Athens as I have a friend there who is big AEK fan.
  16. They said on Sky that there is no chance of it being played before the Cup final and it could be as late as 2 weeks away. With the Euros and all the other stuff hanging around my guess would be the Monday or Tuesday night after the cup.
  17. Update from me seeing as this got bumped. Following Bompeys win @ Palace, I was crying as they went 7 points clear and drifted out to 10/1 and my Dad persuaded me to cash out for £90.92 (I couldn't believe that - I thought they would give me BFH) However the next day when I checked they had gone even further to 16/1 and I realised I could reinvest £58 to win the same £1K. So after consecutive home defeats to Ars and Stoke they are now into 7s and the bookies are offering me a cashout of £78. I reckon I got them scared. In my calculations I'd given them the 3 pts v Stoke as well. The question is if Norwich have enough about them. They just chucked away 5pts from leading positions in the last 2 home games, also have a horrible last few and have already played Bompey x2.
  18. The 2 things I remember most from this game are: 1. Standing next to a lad at the urinal finding out that Newcastle had come from 4-0 down against Arsenal, little knowing we would also draw 4-4 2. The ref was at my brothers wedding ( I only discovered that in retrospect after watching it on Sky Football Gold) though I did congratulate him on sending off the Forest lad for the elbow when we won 3-1 @ the City Ground in the Champ promotion season.
  19. Yes! Result! I need to drink at least 8 cans during a Saints TV game and I wouldn't have fancied Tuesday morning.
  20. I go and watch my local team North Shields if Saints aren't clashing. I even missed the Leicester game last season to go watch them win the FA Vase @ Wembley. Today was going to be my 1st Robins away game @ Morpeth in the Vase but it got postponed (again) due to Waterlogged Pitch
  21. The reason I'm on Bournemouth is cos of the parallels to Blackpool in 2011. 1 Nice little club with small ground punching above their weight in the Prem 2 Play attractive football - Have crazy, entertaining games where they score lots but conceed lots. 3 Most neutrals like them and would like to see them stay up Hopefully ending in: 4 A brave, but ultimately doomed attempt to get something at Old Trafford on the final day after a horrible run has plunged them into trouble.
  22. Did a goal line clearance at Newcastle 01/05/01 just after Pahars had equalized for us where the ball got smashed at him from point-blank range and he went flying into the back of the net - but the ball stayed out. Anyone remember it? (You don't see it on this - but the game was on Sky)
  23. Just put £111.12p on Bompey @ 8/1 Bet365 Price is too good to ignore considering Norwich only one point behind them are 7/4 That run in is horrific. I guess the next 2 will be the key: If they lose away to Sund and away to Palace they will be right in it.
  24. My bro is a QPR fan so I watch QPR any chance I get. It's a great signing - and he's fantastic in the air as well, which he doesn't always get credit for. Just DON'T let him near the penalties. He cost QPR a lot of points last season in missed pens. Usually in tight games at 0-0 or 0-1.
  25. Seconded, some of the links and interview stuff she did on Benali's Big Run was quite impressive. She also has a really nice voice and is a total hottie. I think she does fashion blog stuff and make-up tutorials a la Zoella but I haven't seen any of them cos I'm a dude...
