I noticed Fonte lost the toss and their Captain cleverly changed ends to stop us shooting towards the travelling fans in the 2nd half. Trivial, maybe. But it will have an effect IMO.

And why are so bad in the 1st home game following an away start? Wigan, Sunderland, WBA and now Everton...

First 20 mins I thought we looked good. Mane nearly scores, from the corner we overcomit and they break and score. First goal is always crucial. Then Everton can play the way they want to play, which is to just soak it up and counter. I've never thought (and still don't) that Everton are a good side. We gave it to them.

Unless anyone proves me wrong I've estimated that FC Kairat in Amaty, Kazakhstan with a distance of 4363 miles is the furthest potential opponent.

I'd pretty much agree with that apart from WHU 0-0 A draw shouldn't rank as one of the worst games. We simply couldn't break them down. I'd say the Swansea 0-1 was the day the CL dream died for me. We were on an amazing run coming off Man U & Newc. Swansea were in no form whatsoever, had loads of injuries, had just sold Bony and came for a point. We battered them, missed loads of chances then got sucker punched by Shelvy. I realised at that point that most good teams would have won that game easily and that we were destined to finish 7th. The fact that Spurs and Liverpool fans will say the had a 'bad' season in 5th and 6th and we have had a remarkable season in 7th kinda shows the gap we need to close.

My only other option is to stand outside the ground and pester the kit man to 'loan' me one.
