  1. That's the crux of it there. We seem to do better against better sides because they come to SMS to out play us because Ralph's press and quick counter works better against more open sides. Against the sides who come to SMS for a point we really struggle to break them down when they put lots of players behind the ball. Given that our best hope this season looks likely to be Moussa Djenepo the only player, in our squad, who seems to have that bit of quality to break sides down.
  2. I have no problem criticising Ralph when he gets wrong and yesterday he got the defence totally wrong. Having said that I think in general he is doing a decent job, with an average squad. His style of play seems much better suited against the better sides in the league who want to out play us but we still struggle against sides that we have to break down. When we get the press and counter right we are exciting to watch, like in the second half last night, but we don't seem to able to play like that consistently. Ralph is better than the last couple of managers and I struggle to see us upgrading to a much better manager given our current status.
  3. Out of interest do you know who where the five wins where against?
  4. Can't fault his work rate he works hard for the team but right now he isn't looking like much of a goal threat. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  5. Are they heck they where nothing special. We made it easy for them in the first half and they where crap in the second. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  6. Games of two half's really. First half we where awful mostly because we where playing both full backs out of position. Cedric is horribly one footed. Danso looked all over the place and JWP was even worse as a wingback. Second half we where much better with proper fullbacks in their correct positions but the damage had already been done. Basically you have to lay the blame for this game at Ralph's door. I like a lot of what he has brought to the squad but when you have fit players for a position playing other players out of position instead is criminal. If we where really stuck with injuries and suspensions it would be understandable but we weren't so it's just plan odd. As for the players Adams works hard but carries no goal threat. ( Ings didn't even work hard) Boufal and Redmond lacked any end product despite some moments. Jwp and Hoj where poor Romeu was decent Bednarek was decent Vest was **** poor. Danso was very bad Bertrand decent and Cedric bad first half better second once he was playing on his natural side. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

  8. Still better than having Targett playing LB though... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  9. TBF in all the years I've been on here I've never known you not to be worried ...we could be playing Totton and Ealing reserves and you'd be worried we were going to get dicked.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah rush hour traffic on a Friday is so much fun. Probably no chance for a beer just about enough time to grab some food if I'm lucky. I much prefer making a day of it on a Saturday to working all day and then rushing to get to the game but each to their own. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. Really? Our top scorer is Djenepo (who sadly won't be playing tonight) with 2 and theirs is Callum Wilson with 3 after that neither team has much in the goals department.
  12. Are they bollix nothing is more important than beating Pompey in their own back yard. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. When I saw this article on football 365 I wasn't expecting Romeu's name but it makes a fair point especially a lack of a second player in the squad with his attributes. The player each Premier League club cannot afford to lose SOUTHAMPTON: Oriol Romeu He’s the man tasked with doing the dirty work in that Saints midfield, and he does it really bloody well. Against Manchester United in particular he was immense, making the Reds’ central options look like the Powder-Puff Girls. He has no real substitute, with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg happier in a more advanced role. As he is made of actual granite, there is thankfully little chance of the Saints losing him to anything other than a bulldozer. https://www.football365.com/news/the-player-each-premier-league-club-cannot-afford-to-lose Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

  16. I wouldn't have bet on it though. The whole reason VAR is in place was because the officials kept missing blatant decisions. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Good thing he signed a new contract in August then [emoji6] https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2019-08-08/announcement-nathan-redmond-new-four-year-southampton-contract-2023#targetText=Redmond%20signs%20new%20long%2Dterm%20contract&targetText=Southampton's%20reigning%20Player%20of%20the,club%20is%20delighted%20to%20announce. 21. The worrying thing is I assume Boris and his crew knew about this paper while trying to sneak us out on a no deal. Thank **** for the MPs in parliament. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  22. Farage is campaigning on his "clean break" brexit so he can't agree with yellowhammer. I guess last night, on the telly, he just went to his default stance with anything negative about leaving comes up "project fear". You just know the sort of people that go to his, air raid siren filled, speech's will lap it up along side their fear of Straight bananas and being molested in their beds by hairy Romanian immigrants. Yellow hammer won't change their opinion on a deal brexit one bit. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  23. Probably not. Like I said Farage was on telly last night basically calling the whole thing more project fear. Most of his cultists will go along with that idea so I doubt this will change their mind one bit. For the rest of us we knew a no deal Brexit was the worst kind of Brexit and this just adds more conformation the we are right.
  24. It's ok I've just seen Nigel on telly the government paper is just project fear mark II so we can all just relax and get on with a clean break brexit (Whatever the **** that is supposed to be) Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  25. Surely this just more project fear put out be filthy traitorous remainers...like the errr goverment
