Other way around for me Hoj is like a less experienced Steven Davis both are good at driving in the oppo half carrying the ball. Clasie and JWP are for me more ball players who can pick a pass.

Well for the moment at least Romeu gets a rest on the international breaks. In the league cup Reed has played in Romeu's position but he is now out injured so I think we certainly need another good option in the holding midfield role in Jan.

Totally this. I'm surprised how little love Yoshida is getting he was immense last night so many well timed tackles, blocks and interceptions and strong in the air. VVD gets all the plaudits but I had Yoshida down as my MOM last night.

Nah this one was better the atmosphere against Liverpool last season only got going after we equalised. Last night was the best atmosphere I can remember in a long time.

One swallow doesn't make a summer he needs to constantly perform like tonight to really impress. He was awful against Sunderland in the cup a week ago. He won't replace Clasie because Puel is rotating the squad a first 11 is now just a thing in the minds of saints fans. Having said that JWP has improved this season. I think Puels system is helping. Under Koeman JWP had to play as either a holding DM or a 10 style AM neither of which suit him. Now he gets to play as a more traditional central midfielder and it suits him better.

God knows why people ate upset about resting players tonight. Yoshida was outstanding tonight, McQueen very good. Jrod was not great but then Austin did **** all when he replaced him.

Yoshida has been solid every game he has played this season certainly not much in it between him and Fonte this season.
