Pretty much sums it up in terms of our season this game doesn't have much riding on it we could lose and still progress in Europe. As a symbol of how far we've come it's a special game but other games in our history have been bigger based on their importance to the clubs progression. Still looking forward to it this game very much but looking forward to the return leg at SMS more. Hope all those going have a good time and see a great win.

Cant see Boufal starting myself. I'd imagine Tadic will start and then get subbed for Boufal if we are comfortable ( or losing horribly and Boufal becomes a final gamble).

Rather diluted by the fact they can't play their best team, are pretty **** these days, have been beaten by two teams who couldn't manage a single goal against us between them and even if we lose it isn't terminal to our progress in the Europa league. I shall enjoy the game Thursday but there is to little riding on it to make it a massive occasion for me.

Very much the other side of the "Why can't we just force all the want away players to stay" debate. Westbrom haven't benefited from their hardline stance at all. Keeping a talented want away player isn't automatically the best choice.

Victor came in and started well got injured and then struggled to win his place back from Jack Cork. His first season certainly wasn't a vintage one.

I like sitting in block 1 maybe I don't want to move? I'll sing and the Itchen north can make good noise when they want to but our songs have got a bit limited. It probably doesn't help that players keep leaving even VVD's song doesn't work very well know Koeman has buggered off.

I think how excited you get by this match might well be influenced by weather you are going to the game. Personally I'm not that fussed other than I want us to win so we can get out of the group stages. This is a group game in a very tough cup competition when/if we get to the latter stages of the competition that's when the games become huge right now its just another game we have to negotiate.

Except we weren't that poor first half yesterday we were the dominant team from start to finish. We should have gone in three up (twice for Austin and once for Tadic) the only thing poor about us yesterday was our finishing.

He had a good game yesterday but was never really tested defensively his crossing was pretty good and he looked quicker than Targett. It was a good debut and given the lack of other options I guess will see a bit of him in the next few games but I think ill reverse judgement on him for a bit longer.

Yeah the stat on the bbc is slightly wrong that is the most attempts on goal by any PL team since the 2003 -2004 season.

Tbf most clubs have that problem few have the depth to replace a top quality player with another top quality player. Having said that the club must surely be looking at the CB situation Fonte has been excellent for us but can't have to many good seasons left in him. VVD is going to be off to one of the big boys next summer ( or if we are really lucky the summer after) so we really need to be bringing in their replacements sooner rather than later imo.
