He is a striker if he puts the ball in the back of the net 15+ times next season I couldn't care less if he isn't the most refined of players. As long as we play to his strengths he'll score goals and if scores lots of goal's where's the problem?

Austin doesn't have massive injury problems he played 36+ games the four seasons before last one were he still managed 17 appearances. We bought him injured and he was fit to play by the end of the season but he wasn't getting picked ahead of Long, Pelle and Mane who were all on form at the end of the season.

I think I read somewhere the club see Austin as Pelles replacement so as far they are concerned they replaced Pelle already.

Well he might as well jump on the money grab that this summer has turned into along with everyone else. No doubt some club will offer him more especially if they are a club who are getting desperate towards the end of the window.

I think I read Newcastle have slapped a 25million price tag on him not bad that a 11 mill profit after one season.

Suggests to me the club weren't keen and just humouring the new manager a bit.....

In two years time we will be 34 how many more big contracts do you think he will get? at the most the club will offer him one more year after that. I Imagine he is already planning forretirement and his new role as International Player Liaison Executive (or something) at the club.

Tbf Martina hasn't let us down when he has been called upon nor looked massively out of his depth in the PL I'm quite surprised the club haven't offered him a new deal.

Great stuff. Just goes to show that that the club is happy to keep good players who want to stay.

I think people are missing the point with Pelle gone our WAG quote has taken a battering. The club are going to have to work hard at replacing her

Well I always liked Pelle decent player on his day. Sorry to see him go but hardly surprised. The club obviously felt there wasn't much more mileage in him and he could see a chance to become very well paid. If we got 5 million more than we paid for him bearing, mind his age, I think everyone has done alright on this deal. Looking forward to seeing Austin rip up the league Vardy style next season now ?
