  1. I think he is pretty average. The most goals he ever got in a season is 14 for Twente and last year 12 goals was his second best in his career not exactly great stats for a forward.
  2. Seems like we are trying to buff up the under 21s so we have more ready made talent to replace leavers when they go. No bad thing IMO.
  3. Time for Chambers to step up surely....
  4. Can we re-sign Morgan and bring him home on the team bus the same day....
  5. You might want to have that debate with the club then. They clearly stated through the Echo they are happy with the squad and think they have two quality players in every position. I'll hold judgement on weather they are right once we've played a good part of the season but I will say if you are expecting the club to bring in seven players this summer I think you will be disappointed.
  6. isn't our attack now Austin, Jrod, Long and Redmond beginning of last season it was Jrod, Pelle, Mane and Long Doesn't look overly different....
  7. Don't see it Juanmi hardly needs replacing given his contribution to the squad and if someone is needed one of the under 21s can probably contribute more than Juanmi ever did. Personally I have no problem with Redmond as Mane's replacement I think he is a good player with the right attributes to replace Mane with a bit of coaching. if people are holding out for a big money Mane clone coming in I think they will be very disappointed.
  8. I honestly think the club are pretty happy with the squad. Like it or not Redmond is clearly Mane's replacement and PEH is clearly taking Victor's spot ( different types of player but similar position). Pelle's replacement was always Austin (same position different style of play). I'm pretty sure the club want to use the under 21s as the back up much more than Koeman was prepared to. The club also seem to be spending this summer tying current players and staff down to long contracts rather than bringing in loads of new faces. So we could well be done this summer. I could see is bringing in another one ( maybe two) if the club think there is a good deal to be done but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't do any more business
  9. Interesting piece in the Liverpool echo regarding Everton looks like expectations being managed to me http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-talking-point-koemans-priority-11657564 Much has been made of the supposed £100million transfer war chest that Koeman has been handed to bolster the Blues squad but the reality is that this side probably just needs a few tweaks rather than a major overhaul. Roberto Martinez arguably assembled the club's most talented group of individuals since their last title-winning season back in 1987 but the problem was that he was unable to mould this gifted bunch into a successful team Given that in a market inflated by television money, average players are now commanding £25million fees, Koeman might be well-advised holding a bit back until next summer.
  10. Spot on ........ .....which is slightly odd seeing as you are normally one of the first to melt everytime we lose a player or manager to a bigger club.....
  11. What about Højbjerg's last night he won the penalty and then scored the penalty....
  12. Unlike the pre season games where all the under 21s seem to play one half together. During the season you are looking for players to come in and do a job for a game or two while surrounded by seasoned pros I'm sure a lot of our under 21s wouldn't embarrass themselves in those circumstances.
  13. Oopppps wonder if the friend was another player.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3705521/Distraught-Liverpool-star-Nathaniel-Clyne-calls-police-sex-tape-leaked-internet.html
  14. I think your baby gravy is pretty safe then..
  15. Doubt he'd take it he is still young (in manager terms) and you get the feeling he is enjoying it at spurs right now....would be amusing if he dropped spurs in it though.

  18. Good stuff just Tadic now.
  19. Do we cash in now Charlie?
  20. Is there no option for no more signings?
  21. It's one of those things along with berating a keeper for only being a good shot stopper or a striker for only scoring goals. Personally I'd like to have a good penalty taker again when Lambert was here you felt a pen was as good as goal. Last couple of seasons we've seen Mane miss, Tadic somehow score some awful pens, JWP look ok and we all now know why Pelle never took one. If Austin can take a good penalty I say great.
  22. I thought they had that guy from Sevilla lined up http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/monchi-who-evertons-sporting-director-11417292 Seems he wasn't interested https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jul/21/everton-appoint-steve-walsh-leicester-city Leicester getting done a bit this summer..
  23. Martina is no slouch on the speed front though surely our much vaunted coaching can work on his crossing ability.
  24. His job to score goals if he replicates his PL QPR form and gets 18 odd goals no one will care if his game isn't that refined.
  25. I think its pretty clear that the club don't think Redmond is going to be cover and Austin will be expected to play down the middle. If Redmond doesn't get the nod Long will most likely get shoved out wide again in his place.
