Pelle Set to Leave For China - Telegraph
doddisalegend replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
Got as many league goal and assists as Mane last season. Pelle can still do a job. -
Jesus Christ what is that all about. The kid's 3 he probably reacts like that when you tell him has to eat his carrots...
-
Tbh I think I'll get over the disappointment of Eddie not wanting to come here pretty fast......there you go I'm over it.
-
Ahhh ok I thought the £2.5m for Koeman was his new improved contract offer.
-
yeah he hasn't actual been sacked yet has he?
-
So we're going to offer FDB more money than we offered Koeman ...

trolling for an internet fight again sunshine

Which other STH feel shafted? Just say Me or No

Water off a ducks back. I come to expect this sort of thing every summer now. Wouldn't miss a good Saturday afternoon down SMS because of it though. -
If you class him as a midfielder than his record is pretty good. I just think an attacking players main job is to get, or create, goals as such while no were near as exciting to watch or technically as good with the ball someone like James Beattie is far more effective in the scheme of things. I would trade Mane in for a lump of a CF who got 20-25 goals and 5-6 assists a season even if he wasn't as exciting to watch. Don't get me wrong I love it when Mane gets the ball and goes forward it's exciting but end product is what wins you games.

Southampton's all time top PL scorers http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/southampton-fc/toptorschuetzen/verein/180/plus/0?wettbewerb_id=GB1&position=alle&detailposition=alle

He is very exciting to watch with ball at his feet but attackers are rated by goals ( and to a lesser extent assists) and his record isn't all that impressive. Mane got exactly the same number of league goals and assists as Pelle and less ( on both accounts) than Troy Deeney this season and no one gets excited about those two. Mane clearly has talent but to be a top attacker you cant really go on a 3 month goal drought mid season. Even lambert managed more goals in his two PL seasons than Mane ( though granted he did take all the pens).

What like babe station...... -
Half the problem is people can't even agree what the criteria for "bigger" is. It's a pretty meaningless **** swinging exercise by football fans much like club history.
-
Pellegrini wants a job in the PL doesn't he? so he'd probably have to take a pay cut as all the big teams (and Everton) are sorted for managers if that's the case. Can't believe Emery is on that much at Seville. They aren't loaded in the cash department are they? however he is PSGs first choice, by the looks of it, and we aren't going to compete with them on wages.

Written by a scouser for the benefit of his home town audience it's just as bad as articles written by saints fans for the internet.

I'd be very surprised if they got Victor he clearly thinks he is good enough for one of the traditional big 6 teams... -
No problem as soon as a super wealthy oil tycoon who is happy to just chuck money at his pet club comes along we will get plenty of players/managers only to happy to stay...
-
It's no wonder Koeman left no way could saints match that sort of ambition...
-
I'm a bit conflicted about FDB I rate him and was interested, the last time, when we end up with Koeman instead. Have to say though if we got him this time it would almost seem like the club just plumped for the most obvious and easy option available and it would be kind of cool to pull another Poch (minus the unpleasant character traits) out of the bag.
-
Really? was it the press reports that he is going to PSG that gave it away?
-
but what if the new manager really rates him............................................................
