really? He was pretty good yesterday from the BBC Victor Wanyama (left) in the Southampton midfield looks to be key today. He has managed 63 touches and 54 passes - finding a man with 87% of them. Compare that to Darren Fletcher (right) who has played just 19 passes for West Brom. Indeed, Wanyama has managed more than Fletcher and Claudio Yacob (30) combined.

Is it me or do these threads get less posts when we win......

Every set of away supporters at SMS have sung that this season it's not a saints fan only thing it's a PL fan thing we are no better or worse than anyone else when it comes to singing that. We do lack some songs though we never seemed to replace the ones we had coming up through the leagues when the all the players left. A lot of the chants are just the players name over and over not massively inspiring.

We still have Yoshida and Cuco can play there in an emergency.
-
LOL the Westbrom fans called it when they sang "You'll still be last on Match of the Day" at us....
-
Yeah he must have gone right down hill if he can't picked in front of that pile of dross WBA call forwards.....
-
He's not coming back as a player but I think today proved no matter what SRL will always be one of us and get a great welcome when he comes to SMS a true saint Legend IMO Quite sad to see his career going out on a whimper like it is he probably should have dropped down a league or two and helped a club get a promotion to finish on a high but I guess this close to the end PL wages, even as a bench warmer, are to tempting for a player who didn't spend his whole career making mega money..

Come on no false modesty I reckon Shane had a quick look on here saw your thread and set about making himself a better player ...well done you

Well done Charlie maybe you should ask the club for a job as a player motivator......

Another great performance. I have to say I wasn't expecting us to play the same system as we did against Watford but it worked a treat. Westbrom where fecking awful I expected a tough game it wasn't at all Lambert must be really bad if he can't get a run out ahead of Westbrom's truly awful forwards. Wasn't sure about the double change in midfield before the game but you can't argue with the result so fair play Ronald. JWP was decent today. Free kick was brilliant and if he could produce that on a regular basis he probably play more games. As for his outfield play I still think Clasie and Romeu offer more at the moment. Long, Davis and Mane are a great combo upfront loads of pace and movement. I'm a fan of Pelle but right now I'm in no hurry to see him back in the starting 11 Shout out to Tadic two goals in two games not bad for a player I described as "scared to shoot" a couple of weeks ago I bet our other three keepers are wondering why the defence has suddenly got mean as soon as Forster gets fit two games back in has hardly had to break a sweat. Finally VVD was an absolute beast today one everything in the air on the ground.

He has looked good the last couple of games. I think he is a bit slow pace wise which meant as a normal LB if he went up field on attack he struggled to recover if the move broke down. With the extra cover in the 5 at the back system he has more confidence to get forward.

Get the **** in we are lacking a finisher so bringing a guy who got 18 last season in one of the worst PL teams ever has got to be good. well done saints
-
ohhhh does that mean you get to be the new Vman.....
-
most people don't really..

Liverpool do know the going rate for our players is £20 million to them or maybe would could swap for Benteke reckon he would thrive here with the amount of crossing into the box we like to do.
-
Didn't he make a double sub at halftime against Palace in the cup Tadic and Juanmi...
-
I'll put my hand up and say I didn't even notice but hell what ever they changed last night seemed to work so lets keeping doing it.
-
His assist rate not being that high is hardly a surprise given the form of our strikers the last two seasons.
-
Front 3 long down the middle?
-
The only thing stopping Davis being top class is goals really.
-
Arsenal sign Mohamed Elneny from Basel for £5 million... seems like a shocking lack of ambition buying a player that cheap.
-
Err yes he worked hard and a couple of the attempts he missed he had fashioned pretty much single handed. Just needs to be a goal to really get his confidence up imo
-
Swansea have got to be getting worried now. Sacking Monk with no back up plan not looking a great idea. Amazing how Swansea and us have gone from best of the rest to lower table in a season.

Is Ronald Koeman the highest-merited manger in the Prem.?

What was poch's playing career like? I know he played at international level so he must have been half decent.
