On the other hand Lou Brendan "greatest coach in the world" Rodgers will likely be available to take over from Ronald....
-
See Ronald found time to attend a Dutch coaches association meeting yesterday while he was in the Netherlands http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/southampton-boss-koeman-drops-dutch-bombshell-our-coaching-is-failing-4099055
-
Hope someone from the club is tapping up Frank de Boer as Koeman's replacement in 2 seasons time.....
-
Actually thought the Cedric/Bertrand stuff was interesting I thought Cedric got forward quite well but will watch him more closely now to see if he is more of a "Danny Butterfield" crosses from deep type of full back.

Well it made me feel pretty up beat after reading it Southampton Defying Expectations Thanks to Impressive Tactical Balance http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2577087-southampton-defying-expectations-thanks-to-impressive-tactical-balance

Saw this article and thought I'd share. Really aimed at Liverpool and their transfer policy but spends lots of time praising saints and Swansea so makes a for a nice read http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/11916075/Liverpools-fabled-transfer-committee-is-not-the-problem-just-ask-Southampton-or-Swansea.html My favorite bit The superiority of Southampton over Liverpool in recruitment has been regularly evident in several direct deals during the past 18 months

Exactly it's just like all those people who said Michael Antonio would never be good enough to play in the championship let alone join a PL team .....
-
Tell that to Charlie Austin...
-
Guess we will see but Man U fans went into melt down when they were linked with him last summer because he isn't a big name signing.
-
So just to be clear you've never judged anyone found guilty in a court of law? I guess that Peter Sutcliffe was just an enthusiastic DIYer? At the end of the day if someone is convicted in a court of law, like Ched, that's good enough for me. Yes there are miscarriages of justice but they are few and far between so I'll apologise to Ches, when I see him, if it turns out he is a victim of a terrible miscarriage..... ....or actually I probably won't because he will still be an unpleasant little **** who took advantage of a young lady who was clearly to drunk to now what she was doing. Have you got any daughters hypo? How would you feel if a couple of blokes took advantage of her when she was to drunk to look after herself?

Really? if I got double what I paid for something 2 years later I'd be pretty happy. I'm sure the club will rinse every penny but I really can't see Mane going for more than 25 million max.
-
Reckon this will be a much harder game than Chelsea or Swansea.
-
Well its a bit late for that. He signed a four year contract so the club could force him to be saddled with four years at saints.......the club won't do that of course because its not the way we roll. He will be sold for twice what ee paid for him next summer.

Wanyama and the St.Marys crowd ...boo or cheer ?
doddisalegend replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Meh what ever. Not going to boo a player in red and white but Victor showed his character last summer and will be gone next summer any way. As along as he plays well to the end of the season Im not really to bothered what he has to say. -
Surely Stevie G will be on the first plane back to Blighty to tie up his new player/manager role at Liverpool.....
-
José Mourinho to Liverpool?
-
Could actually see that happening
-
Which lets be honest isn't as bad a Brenda made it look....
-
Ahhh cheers. I'm a bit gutted if I'm honest every chance Liverpool might get a good manger now who actually knows what he is doing.
-
Especially Clyne he was looking forward to some energetic one on one training ground sessions with Brendan.......

Nothing on the bbc apart from Brendan explaining that Liverpool are rebuilding their team and this takes time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34439255 "If we are to replicate what we did two years ago, we will have to build something. That will take time," said the 42-year-old. "That is frustrating for supporters but there are new players to come in. "Once they are together for a period of time we will grow again and be competitive. That will take time, whether that is me or someone else. "While it is me, I will continue to devote every ounce to the club."

This season seems more unpredictable than normal (well maybe not for Newcastle and Sunderland ) teams dropping points all over the place.
-
