Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-0 Bournemouth
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
On the train. First half we were excellent second half we were turd. Cedric is quickly becoming a favorite of mine best player on the pitch today unlike Bertrand who had a very poor day. Never seen a red carded player go off to a standing ovation before today. Vic was good today despite what some are saying. Also considering we don't care about this game a hell lot of people seemed to get very worked up in the Itchen north today ? -
Don't think anyone should be getting credit for beating Chelsea this season......big LOLs at Arsenal for not beating them though
-
Erm from 8 seconds just watch the lads inability as a footballer [video=youtube;CRv5KoSO2-g]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRv5KoSO2-g
-
Actually think we could win this without big Vic. Romeua is more than capable IMO

For a bit of balance not all American cops deal with heated situations with a gun or violence A Washington D.C. police officer arrived on the scene of a fight to break it up, but ended up in a dance-off instead. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3295611/We-need-cops-like-Teen-challenges-police-officer-Nae-Nae-dance-shocked-accepts-epic-dance-ensues.html Though I guess SG would have preferred the girl to be tazered and beaten to teach her a lesson....

Kind of agree football is about rivalries and as Pompey are **** and will remain **** for along time I see no problem using Bournemouth as a substitute until Pompey get their act together circa 2999AD. Can't be to many clubs as poorly served in the rivals /derby match stakes as Saints.
-
Agree what ever we feel about it their players and fans will be right up for this which will probably see them playing better than their recent form would suggest.
-
Almost all keepers are capable of excellent saves even kelvin Davis and Gazza. Boruc's "weirdness" is what makes him a poor keeper no point making excellent saves if you then undo them with idiotic moments of stupidity like Artur does.
-
Boruc being the keeper you wanted to keep because he was so good but that now makes Kelvin Davies look like a top PL keeper with his almost weekly goal keeping errors. No need for saints fans to boo him. He will probably get cheered by us for trying to nutmeg Mane and ...................failing badly leading to a comedy goal for us
-
Please tell me you guys are going to start with Boruc being a 4pm kick off should give him plenty of time to get over the night before...which he clearly hadn't against spurs ?
-
I remember in league 1 Bournemouth coming to town saw the biggest police presence at Southampton central I'd seen in a while. They even marched the Bournemouth fans to and from the station with a police escort ?
-
To many saints fans desperately trying to play it down as a nothing game to sell out. Personally I'm up for it the games in league 1 were good fun and until Pompey (if they ever) get themselves sorted out this might be the closest thing to a derby we see at SMS in years.

Saints 2 - 1 Villa - League Cup R4 - Reaction

All game? more like a couple of times when we were two goals up and we got it back in spades when we threw the lead away. Pretty much all fans of all PL clubs are the same these days everyone has the same songs/chants ( with subtle changes for each club) there is little or no originality. Almost every team has better away support than home support to due to the PL tourist effect. -

Targett played a lot of games early season and I would say he steadily improved as he played more regularly and he looked much more comfortable in the team just before Bertrand returned. Of course since Ryan came back he hasn't really played and it showed last night. -

When I saw the team selection I was pretty gutted. From Koeman's pre match stuff I was expecting a couple of changes but seven was a big risk. Thing is our squad players are all right if its one or two in our strongest 11 but put a team made up of mostly squad players (several not even playing their prefered position) and you get the first half from last night. I think both Gaston and Juanmi would be more effective in behind Pelle so sticking them out wide did them no favours. JWP really shouldn't play the number 10. Yoshida while scoring a great goal isn't a full back except in a dire emergency. Still Tadic and Davis made the difference and in the end it looked comfortable. But please can we have a full strength side for Liverpool. -
How come citeh are playing De Bruyne and Bony and we've attempted to shoe horn every back up player in to our first 11? When Koeman said we were taking the cup seriously I was expecting most of our First 11 with a couple of changes. Not surprisingly with so many squad players playing we are ****e. Why can't we just put out our strongest team in the cup.

American police officer handing out Justice to a school girl US style (including a nice video of the incident) A US sheriff's department says it is investigating after a video emerged showing an officer throwing a female pupil across a classroom. The footage posted online on Monday was said to be filmed in a school in Columbia, South Carolina. US media said the pupil had refused to leave the classroom when asked. The officer, a school monitor, was called. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-34644336

Murder? I think what Adam did is more a like coming home and finding your misses being well ploughed, by that bloke at work you really don't like, after she told you she'd give her right arm for you to be her only **** for the rest of her life. The anger about the way he left will wear off as the seasons go on some fans (like yourself) will get over it quickly others will take years. Personally, while I don't have the levels of venomous hate that some seem to have for those that left, I do take a certain twisted enjoyment when things don't go well for our ex players...
-
Yes he was good that last season . Jrod, Lambert and Lallana just clicked that season and it increasingly looks like that might have been the high point in all their careers.
-
Was looking on one of the Liverpool forums last night and it seems Lallana isn't overly popular with Liverpool fans more surprisingly they didn't seem to rate Clyne either. Mind you I think Cedric is proving to be an excellent replacement for Clyne who I'm not missing at all.
-
Really? Someone posted up some stats on another thread that showed Tadic is the much more effective player when it comes to chances created both are similar (ie can pull off moments of great skill to open up the opposition and both can go missing in games) but I think Tadic offers more.

Watched the highlights and that was shocking from Mane. Milner had time to make a cup of tea and light up a cigar before he made the cross for the goal as Mane stood a watched before making a half hearted amble towards him. Good as Benteke's header was there is no way Milner should have had the time and space to place a perfect cross into the box like that.

Top 10 I guess but not as good as last season. I think we are looking pretty decent right now but other teams around us seem to have improved West ham look good, Palace are still a good outfit despite having a bit of loss of form right now, Spurs seem to have improved this season (and will probably nick 4th over Chelsea) and Leicester will fade second half of the season, I think, but like us last season will have built up enough points early to stay in around the top half all season.
