About what? we have Long out for a month Mane away for a couple more weeks then we are back up to strength. We could easily play the likes of Seagar for a 4 games but you get comments like this. Which is great. But do we want to try and get fourth place or not? If we do, then Seagar isn't the answer at this stage in his career. We can't rely on youngsters to change games if we are serious about a top four push. O.K. We've got Gallagher (injured) and Ryan Seager (V.G. at U21 level), but we need someone who can hit the ground running. It surely can't be a money problem... with the CL in our sights. The Club IMO isn't going to buy a new striker to cover missing players for a month not when they believe in youth. Buying stop gap players isn't the clubs way so unless some top quality player, that was already in the club's plans is available, I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed if they expect a new striker this Jan.

What about Tadic? Also isn't this when our much vaunted academy Pathway is supposed to kick in? We all like to talk about our great academy but when it looks like we have to play some of the youth people start complaining they aren't up to it and we need experienced players. I won't exactly get upset if we bring in a competition for Pelle this Jan (though I don't get the feeling the club are planning to do so) but I do wonder if the club really considers buying a new player because of injuries knowing that those injuried players are only out for a few weeks.

Yes we should base all our player decisions over the last three or four games after all players form never goes up and down. Cork was class last season when Victor got injuried yet shock horror he wasn't brilliant on his first game back after injury and playing for a while. Lets be honest we're a big team, CL and all that, now we should sack off most of the squad and spend loads on some better players....................................Thank fu ck the board run the club in a sensible manner rather than the fans.

Even then no club would bother, especially not saints, add in the fact he is Burnley's biggest hope of staying up (which will be worth more money than they could get for Ings) and it just isn't going to happen in Jan. If he was signed in the Summer I wouldn't be surprised however.

No one is going to buy Ings when he is out of contract in the summer.

No different from Lambert last season then. Thing is we aren't really lacking in goals this season we score most games and with our defence one goal can be enough. I agree Pelle's hold up play is important to bring others into play I could live without his little flick ons to nobody though.

Do we need more strikers? only Pelle seems to play as an actual Centre forward. Tadic and Elia played out wide of him today and neither of them are strikers Long is a striker but normally plays in the same position as Tadic or Elia. Mane is the same, I think he is classed as winger but plays the same position as the other three. We Should have a back up CF for Pelle because he is crucial to the way we play and no one else really plays the same way as him but everyone else plays out wide and we are pretty well set there when Mane comes back even if Long is injured.

Did we? by the time Puncheon came on the crowd had given up doing much of anything certainly didn't notice anyone cheering for Jason.

Last year the 4-3 against Burnley was a great game for atmosphere...I've been to plenty of PL games with crap atmospheres. League one games where better IMO.
