  1. Nice one. Hopefully he'll be back in a saints shirt on a high ready to score his first saints hat trick against Sunderland.
  2. Thank the f uck that is over back to Club football which is actually worth watching.
  3. Not sure I agree I don't see why a country shouldn't be allowed to participate because they are a tiny country with few resources. I mean where does it end Scotland are **** so are Wales...........
  4. Pretty much sums up England games for the last 5 years Roy has England playing turgid **** all the time.
  5. LOL can you Imagine if Roy picked that as his England team the Media would go into melt down.......
  6. Well I'm pleased I would be gutted if any of our players picked up an injury playing for England, especially Clyne (whose our RB cover?) the big boys might have the squad for it saints don't.
  7. I think next summer we should just play this video over and over, on a loop, on saintsweb until the transfer window shuts
  8. I thought we had first refusal on buying Ryan at the end of his loan unless we are going to buy him and then sell him straight away I think he will be here next season.
  9. Players will leave you'd have to have your head buried in some pretty deep sand to believe otherwise. You just have to trust the club to get good money and good replacements. Hopefully not as many will go as this summer but it's always going to happen unless by some miracle we get CL football
  10. TBF a game in the far east for Man U or Arsenal would probably be just like a home game..........
  11. The whole idea seems bizarre to me purely a money maker for the PL and clubs (which means it will be inevitable). The thing is only some clubs would bringing in the big crowds I doubt Saints V Burnley would be a fixture that would excite the overseas fans they'd only want to see Man U and Arsenal games. No doubt, over time, it would end up like the TV rights with the big clubs playing more overseas games and getting even more money at the expense of the smaller PL clubs.
  12. Possibly. I could well imagine those who got their first call ups or those older players, who may not get many shots at the international scene, wouldn't want to suffer an injury right now and blow their chance.
  13. fair point well the new bloke can work with and Jack and Kelvin:p
  14. Except after the sub we had our best spell as having an extra attacker over a DM helped.
  15. No need to do it now get the new bloke in so he has the international break to work with the team.
  16. Wasn't taking off a DM and throwing on another attacker while moving a AM back to DM a plan B then?
  17. Honestly didn't think spurs were better than us it took a **** up in our defence for them to get something they hardly over ran us with amazing football.
  18. keeper in a couple of opps moments shocker....
  19. Only had the radio to go by but we sounded poor today. Pelle sounded isolated, Tadic seemed below par and our set pieces were ****e. Having said that Spurs didn't sound much better and we seemed to have them well marshalled in general. It seems to me we went to contain them and play on the break probably would have worked but one mix up in defence bollixed that plan up. All in all came across as a pretty turgid game between to mid table sides. Bit of a break and then some good fixtures to get some points in coming up.
  20. ...........and the club strike back, plenty of little digs in that article Good read. A lot of that article tallies with my take on what was happening over the summer but there are also lots of information that is new to me. Hopefully next summer we will take it all in our stride when a few players leave.
  21. RK didn't mention anything at the press conference did he? Has someone managed to injure themselves since 3pm?
  22. Is it me or do Arsenal seem to always get a lot of injuries both Theo and Oxo seem to have spent a lot of time injured since moving to Arsenal and they always seem to have a long injury list of players.
  23. I think it's more to do with his public sulking over the issue that's the problem. The name thing is tricky because most football fans are by nature "backward-looking, arch-traditionalists" history is an important part of being fan for a lot of people. I think he could of got the name change through with a more softly softly approach. The whole "it's my club I'll do what I like and I won't put a penny more in if you disagree" attitude while technical correct just puts the fans backs up football will never be the same as other business because fans aren't like other customers.
  24. do the heck they were barely able to challenge for top four when they had Bale saving their arse every week they've gone down hill since.
  25. A few people did point out in the summer, when people were all up in arms about KL, that there are some really sh it club owners out there we're IMO very lucky with our owners.
