Seeing as manager of the month normally seems to result in the recipient losing his next game I'd be happy for RK not to get the award give it to Rodgers, LVG or mopo.........

The early indications suggest we are a decent PL side and shouldn't need to worry about relegation on the other hand we are unlikely to finish in the top 5 either I don't see the point of dimissing the cups so we can, lets say, finish 9th instead of 10th. Go all out for the cups I say finishing 8th last season was nice but in reality it became rather boring in the tail end of last season.

The whole assumption of that article is that the board have a plan based on flogging half the first team every summer. I never got the feeling this summer that the board wanted to go down that path but felt backed into a corner by certain players I really doubt they plan on going through another summer like the one we've just had. On that basis the whole article seems a bit pointless to me.

Again most keepers better than KD probably don't want to spend they're time as number 2 at a club like saints. Keepers happy to be a number 2 , and lets face as soon as we signed Fraser Forster it was obvious he'd be number 1 GK this season, are either youngsters or players running down their careers.............just like KD. Boruc threw his toys out of the pram because he doesn't want to be a number 2 any keeper as good as Boruc is likely to feel the same I really don't think it's as easy as people make out to have a decent back up keeper unless your a club like Man city or Chelsea.

In reality how many teams have two top class keepers on their books though (I'm betting not many)? Most teams in the PL (or any league) willl struggle if they lose to many first choice players to injury we are no different.
