Are they any worse than Westham in the physical stakes? We coped all right with them we aren't exactly a team of shrinking violets ourselves these days we've got some units in our team. I mean Stokes main goal threat is an aging Peter Crouch, Jonathan Walters and a Liverpool reject in Moses hardly a terrifying prospect.

The pointed out on MOTD2 that Shawcross was taken off man marking after the pen for Swansea, which seeing as he rugby tackled Bony was a clear pen to me, and given a job in the middle of the penalty area. Stoke think Shawcross gets unfairly penalised by refs in the penalty box. So having Sadio Mane running at him might be a good thing because Shawcross seems to be a marked man by most refs.

Interesting take given the praise RK gave him post match.

Cup every time while I'm enjoying our league position I just don't think we will sustain it in the long run coming 7th (or any where outside 1st) in the league really doesn't get me as excited as a thought of winning a cup I'm afraid.

Sunderland beat them 3-1, they drew 2-2 with QPR and only managed 1-0 against Newcastle they're OK but if we play our football the way we can we should beat them IMO

He really is not. Better tackler for sure but Vic's passing is ponderous at best he so often slows counter attacks down with pointless passes or slow thought. What Cork lacks in physicality he makes up for in moving the ball better.
-
Why? Cork was immense yesterday again. The paper this morning gave Cork a better mark out of ten than both Morgan and Davis yet people want to drop Cork again. Cork moves the ball so much better and quicker than Victor IMO. I mean this is stoke at home we're playing not Chelsea away I'd rather we put them under the cosh with quick flowing football rather than go defensive so Cork on the pitch and Victor on the bench for me.

I thought it was "tearing them a new one" I swear that's what Dave Merrington said on Solent yesterday.

Saints 8 (Eight) Sunderland 0 - Match and Reactions

Great result. Listening on the radio the opening exchanges sounded all Sunderland but we just smashed them second half. Corky scoring again the guys becoming a goal machine. Slightly annoyed as I promised my son a saints game this month he had a choice of today or Stoke next week he plumped for the Stoke game...... -
commentating on Solent last saints game.

Great news. Excellent player the most rated, under rated, player saints have ever had............ -
BBCs WSL goal of the season http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29633504 main thing I take from that is there is no defending in woman's football....

Koeman: "No injuries to players reporting back from international duty" So If Morgan isn't in the squad I guess he has been dropped on form -
Artur Boruc joins Bournemouth on loan
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Nope I've seen him in every home game this season and he is clearly an upgrade on Boruc IMO (whose own kicking was pretty crappy as well to be fair) -
Both FAs charged http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29627246 Albania charged with refusing to play having watched the videos I can't believe UEFA expected the Albanian players to finish the game. I mean the Albanian's should probably take the blame for it kicking off but once it did I don't think you could reasonably expect them to go back on the pitch after what had happened to them.

Piece from the BBC woman's football is honest and people buy into that ..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29493124 £30 for a season ticket:scared:

You mean the Match day Magazine the one that is twice the size of the old programme, so it won't fit in your back pocket, and is now sold by a smart looking young lady with a degree in hospitality rather than some goby old geezer in a flat cap....

Saints 4-0 Coventry City, back to the big time
doddisalegend replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Was that the one Chaplow scored in? I had tickets for that but then put my back out and watched it on TV jumped up when chappers scored a great goal despite the pain.... sadly Owen end up winning it for Man U -
I've tried watching woman's football but I find really boring. In theory it should tick all the boxes I like football, I like looking at women sadly it is always rather carp. The difference to me is like the difference between watching saints and watching tyro league on a Sunday.

Saints is the only entertainment I know that counts my twelve year old son in the same price bracket as a young adult.......but what you going to do? I want to take my nipper to watch saints play it's our dad son thing so I bite the bullet and we go when I can afford it. I still miss the league one days when I could take both my kids to watch saints for less than it costs for me to get a ticket for just myself in the PL.

Artur Boruc joins Bournemouth on loan
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Really? He had a couple of fumbles against spurs but they didn't make any difference to the result other than that Forster has looked excellent to me and we have one of the meanest defence in the PL this season so far. -
Club every time for me. The last England match I actually enjoyed was the one against Scotland (where Lambert scored the winner) before that I can't really remember.
