The biggest problem with Luke last year was no end product going forward Ryan is providing that already after only a few games. I think Ryan is a great player but Luke will be a better player in the end with the right coaching/managing weather Luke will get that at Man U waits to be seen.

Was a good game we were clearly the better side although QPR where not nearly as bad as I thought they would be (at least in the second half when our first goal forced them to attack). I felt we were to open after the second goal and went looking for a third which resulted in us giving the ball to QPR to much would have preferred us to be patient and tried to kill the game with possession in the last 10 minutes.

yep looks like a striker short on confidence like Pelle maybe needs a goal to get him up and running
-
More impressed by him every time I see him quality player and really well taken goal today.

Pompey war memorial defaced with Saints graffiti

Disrespectful ****s. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed. -
I find it impossible not to like Ronald. Mopo had us playing some great football at times but he came across as a very cold fish. love the last bit about his wife to:lol:

I'd rather get behind the team and win.....give Redknapp some grief at the end if we have won
-
Really? seems to me a lot of people are excepting us to lose this one.

Anyone else think we could be on the verge of something special?

Yes you should present each one with a giant nappy and tell them you can't be mates untill they can keep the sheets dry:p -

If you look back at my posts over the summer I was pretty sure we'd be ok but I certainly felt outnumbered on here in that regard. Saints fans I know from outside this place were also generally pretty down on a chances.....but you're right it wasn't all saints fans hence the use of the word most -

After eights or soft mints......... -
Don't disagree just interesting we all feel it will end against arguably the worst team in the league....

QPR really are dire a few stats from the BBC QPR •Only Everton (13) have conceded more league goals than QPR (11) this season. •QPR scored twice as many goals against Stoke last time out (2) than they had managed in their previous five games this season. •However, they are only side yet to score a Premier League goal in open play. •They have scored just 11 goals in 14 Premier League away games under Harry Redknapp. •Niko Kranjcar's goal against Stoke last weekend was his first league strike since February 2012. It must say something about the make up of saints fans that so many of us seem to be expecting us to lose this game despite QPR being so ****e....

Lets face it most of our fan base thought we were f ucked this season so it's hardly a surprise that all the pundits tipped s to struggle. I doubt many clubs have ever had a summer like the one we've just had let alone then gone on to have their best start in 20 odd years. -
Sadly I think we may have wait many (many, many) years before another saints v pompey game......
-
I can't imagine that Lallana or poch give two figs what saints fans think of them now even less that they could be bothered to start some sort of PR exercise to get us back on side. They have new fans to be adored/hated by now.
-
Saints supporters I know think he's a **** (Lovern and pooch to BTW)
-
I think the longer our good form goes on the more we will all get that feeling. QPR are going to have to rise their game a lot and we are going to have to have a real dog turd of a performance for them to win I reckon
-
No apparently about it mate, I work there, it is all true:shakey:
-
No surprise but the QPR fans aren't feeling to confident 5-0 to saints seems to be the average on their predictions thread http://www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?183326-Southampton-predictions/page3 Can't blame them everything points to a Saints win which makes me rather nervous that we will lose 0-1 (scored by that **** Austin). The problem with saints doing well is they are increasing my expectations I didn't have any at the start of the season now I'm dreaming of saints thrashing QPR and Villa causing an upset against Chelsea to put saints top.........
-
This Victor is a unit but when Cork plays we seem to move the ball better and quicker. Horses for courses I don't know why people think it has to be one or the other during a season we need to utilise both of them.

Martin Samuel p*sses in our pool again.....

That implies the club wanted the manager to leave and to sell so many players this summer. There was no tactics from the club they would have happily kept the players and manager but they had their hand forced. I really do not believe the club plans to go through the same ordeal every summer. -
Guessing the game will be decided on Pens as we always seem to draw with Stoke home or away.
