  1. TBF if Harding was any good at taking free kicks or corners (which he isn't) he'd probably have as many assits as Fox. Most of Foxs assits seem to have come from set plays which is useful thing to have in the side but neither of them seem to be able to play like Richardson who actually delivers decent crosses into the box. Also Harding's runs and overlaps help to pull defenders out of place freeing up space for Lallana something that doesn't happen much when Fox plays meaning the opposition can double up on Adam.........not that is always enough to stop the south coast Messi:)
  2. Maybe that is becuase Harding actually ventures past the half way line and Fox is caught out of postion all the time to.
  3. Fox is not exactly a great defender either I've lost count of the number of times he has gone missing when oppostion players come down our left even when he is where he is supposed to be he gives oppostion players so much space they have plenty of time to get crosses in. If Jjos wasn't there covering for him all the time it would be even worse. None of our LBs are world class but Harding is good enough as cover. Nigel seems to keep sticking Harding in the matchday squad which tells me he rates him more than some on here.
  4. If anyone can find a player even close to Adams ability who is avaliable and doesn't mind not even getting in the matchday team when Adam is fit ....then I'm all for it.
  5. As I said the worse I've seen us play, we were better against Reading IMO and I was (un)lucky enough to miss both Bristol games. I only really go home games so I'm aware I've missed some poor away games. We created one really good goal scoring chance (which we scored) compared to how we play at SMS that was quite shocking. Not to bothered though we won and you can't fault the commitment of the players in defence though........... bally heros the lot of them
  6. Worst I've seen us play this season, I reckon, but we still got the points:lol:. Leeds can feel pretty hard done by tonight............On the other hand I feel f ucking great. Brave defending from the boys and Kelvin had the game of his life...Legend. Special mention to Morgan who I thought played very well today and Lambert for a cracking strike. Watching Warnock turnning purple on the side lines was pretty LOL to:lol:
  7. Cardiff bring in Liam lawerence from pompey............. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17235658
  8. Shame Coventry didn't do the same they've just been hit by a transfer embargo to http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17232219 I wonder if Coventry will still be allowed loan player like pompey?
  9. Except if the fans care enough no one loses their club....they lose their league status and they have to start again but if their fans want it enough a new Pompey will emerge....same would have happened to SFC enough people cared that a new team would have emerged from the ashes.
  10. Why? A) how many pompey fans were sympathetic to our plight back then B) The difference between our admin and pompeys double admin in a couple of years are massive No it's not cheating as we haven't made this situation, unless your suggesting SFC has in some way enginered PFC second collapse as some way to gain and advantage.............
  11. Except that if it happened tomorrow. The psyclogical impact on say WHU who suddenly fall three places down the table through not fault of they're own could be huge. Plus the fact that they would have actually had to play more games than us (did they get any suspensions or injuries in that extra game against pompey that we don't have to play? for example) So while taking off the points is the fairest way It still doesn't mean there is no advantage for some teams over others.
  12. No still hate the PL rather it didn't exsist. I want saints to do well and win stuff like being championship champions but If we do go up I'm dreading the ticket price increases, constant ****ing about with match times and dates and having to put up with sh it from that **** Mark Lawrenson on MOTD. Going back to the OP A all the way both becuase it's pompey and becuase it will **** of WHU as well
  13. :lol:Where did you get a picture of Blackpools first 11 in trainning.....
  14. Good thing they've managed to bring in four new players this week then...Personally I think they should be allowed to trade and just be given a 6pts penalty instead:D
  15. WTF really ??? how old is he? I know Kevin Phillips is still knocking them in while clutching his zimmer frame but Fowler. What's Hollowhead trying to do build a veterans team...
  16. This argument comes round every season our squad it's getting pretty big now. Some decent players aren't even getting into the matchday squad bringing in more players will just rock the boat IMO.
  17. Wasn't passing comment on how good they're or aren't just interested to see what teams around us are doing. Weather they're good or bad signings will have to wait until the end of the season. If Hammill scores the winning goal that wind boro the play off final ....it won't matter if is ****. I imagine in Birminghams case they need a few extra bodies to fill a thin squad and have to take what's out there thats cheap.
  18. ....I personally don't think saints need an extra players but it's interesting to see what some of the clubs around us are doing Boro have brought in Adam Hammill from wolves http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17220389 and Birmingham have brought in three new faces (though one is the managers son so probably doesn't really count) in the form of Ramage, Folan & Hughton http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17210390
  19. Yeah it tells me league 1 is a tough league this year and some chairmen thought it was going to be easy... and are a little annoyed they're not where Charlton is. I think it's clear that managers in the top six, but not top, must fear for they're jobs Sir Alex is clearly next along with Harry and Arsene..................
  20. Gets in to good postions in the couple of games I've seen him play but apart from the missed chance at WHU the ball hasn't quite fallen for him. As others have said he looks very off the pace compared to the rest of our team but we do have a very fit team...sports since is all the rage at saints. I reckon when we get his fitness levels up with the rest of the team and he has started to click with how the team plays. Sharp and Lambert are going to become a pretty good partnership
  21. Well not in the grand scheme of things...just interested. I'll try to keep saints topics away from the saints web in the future:rolleyes:
  22. I'm I right in thinking the assit came from Jose Fonte? I was just reading the football league team of the week on the FL website and they've got Danny Butterfield in the team at RB becuase he set up Lamberts first goal....I could of sworn it was Jose. Link below http://www.football-league.co.uk/championship/news/20120227/championship-team-of-the-week_2293322_2622655
  23. I believe this could be right as my sons team just lost a Tyro cup semi final to Sholing whites under 11s on sunday and the Manager was called Dave Puckett Link to e-mail address and phone number below http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/vtfc/j/players-coaches-42177.html?player_id=377536
  24. With both Murty and Dodd working with the youth you'd like to think we might produce a few decent full backs over the next few years:)
  25. Can't say I'm surprised he seems to have stayed in close contact and on good terms with the club since his injury. Certainly got plenty of experince to pass on to the youth and always comes across as a decent bloke.
