  1. No most football fans just use it as away to try and justify they're a bigger club (what ever that means) than whoever. Really if we get promoted as champions this season will anyone give a f.uck that WHU took 2000 more fans to Leeds for a game?
  2. I have no doubt they like to see a few fans cheering them on. But the way some of you lot go on you'd think away support was the most important factor in deciding how well a club is doing/how big they are/how great they are blah blah blah. Honestly if Man utd took no fans to any away games they'd still be a huge club.
  3. I'm pretty sure KD won't be one of them though he is club captain and NA seems to value his contribution to the team in the dressing room and off pitch added to which he is a decent keeper not world class or anything but still decent. I really don't see NA making wholesale changes to the team if we go up to the PL.
  4. Why are people so obbsessed about away numbers? I'd much rather we packed out SMS at home games week in week out than worry about the fact WHU are giving Ken bates an extra £72,000.
  5. I don't really need closure. There were some bad times in those years (not all bad though 2003 for example) but that's part and parcel of being a football fan almost every football club goes through cycles of good and bad. You need the low(e) points to appreciate the good times I reckon.
  6. I see Japan played a friendly with Iceland the other day (Whale hunters cup?) and won 3-1 apparently the european based Japenese players were exempt from selection. As this a world cup quailify I suppose it's a tad more important. Nice to have a saints player who is also an international. I can see Lee now telling his team mates " and this is a little something Adam Lallana taught me...":p
  7. I remember him being pretty good but frustrating. It's funny but while I was reading this thread it reminded of a Puncheon thread - very similar sort of this being said about both of them.
  8. Do I give a **** what Sam thinks? let me see how many times has his amazing team beaten us this season, how many points out of six have WH taken off us..............................we did our talking on the pitch and were the better team both times IMO (well apart from the first 15 minutes of the second game).
  9. Here's how Brighton have structured their loyalty scheme. You'll notice away matches are worth the same as home matches or less than home matches in the cup. You also get extra points for having a season ticket at the Withdean last season. As a season ticket has a 1000 points a non ST holder can't trump a ST holder. The system seems pretty fair to me. Loyalty points available when quoting Individual supporter numbers: SEASON TICKETS & MEMBERSHIP 2011/12 POINTS AWARDED PER FAN NUMBER 1901 Club Members 1030 Season Ticket purchase 1000 Withdean Season Ticket Holder 2010/11 250 Young Seagulls Member* 50 *(excludes junior ST holders) INDIVIDUAL TICKETS 2011/12 League Home Match Ticket 10 League Away Match Ticket 10 Cup Home Match Ticket 20 Cup Away Match Ticket 10
  10. The fact is we don't know yet but the implication is buying stuff in the club shop equals loyalty points to me that suggests the club equates loyalty with how much you put into the club coffers as such away games won't be high on the loyalty list. Still until the club spells it out in detail it's not worth worrying about. Personally as a ST holder I'd feel pretty ****ed if someone who doesn't have an ST gets a ticket to the FA cup final over me becuase they went to lots of away matches...
  11. Most Loyal fans? e.g. those that put most money into the club - which is not nessecerily the same thing as the guy that goes to away games and not home games ..... no not a difficult concept at all
  12. Why 2 pts for an away game? (I think the guys who do lots of aways are great BTW) From the clubs point of view home games are where the money is at. So I could quite easily see them encouraging home attendence with home games being worth 2 pts and away games (where the club makes next to nothing money wise) being only 1pt. Bottom line the club wants a packed SMS not someone elses stadium packed.
  13. Kind of depends on what the club consider loyalty I would have thought. ST holders put money into the club. If you only do away games you're just putting money into other clubs coffers. Same as they might not consider casuals promoting the clubs reputation at some northen sh it hole as being more loyal than scarfer Dave who spent £600 in the club shop this month................Just sayin'
  14. Do I get loyalty points for buying one of those?
  15. Special Micro chip in the cards anyone sits in your seat they're instantly vapourised...... TBH that is a good question.
  16. Sadly what ever happens I don't think the loyalty points will be retrospective...but come on imagine getting loyalty points just for having a half time pint..
  17. Why will they do that? We can't fill SMS up on a regular basis now
  18. Are you expecting us to get relegated.......surely you mean Man city, Liverpool and Newcastle
  19. It was the getting busier bit I'm confused about.....
  20. Oh yes hopefully half time snacks will also add loyalty points then I can get to all the choice matches just be eating and drinking loads and buying an XXXXL saints kit (socks and everything) and jester hat which I can then wear to those proper nawty away days.....
  21. I assume ST holders have their card filled for the season? bit of a flaff otherwise or would this system do away with season tickets altogether? It's all a bit vague. The smart card for half time snacks is an interesting idea. On the face of it seems like a good move.
  22. From the wolves forum Insiders revealed owner Steve Morgan was offering a bonus of only £150,000 to stay up – a fraction of what others are on to beat the drop and tiny in comparison to the £40million another season in the top flight would bring. The job also pays around £12,500-a-week for the rest of the campaign, with another year’s contract on top if survival is assured. Morgan prefers a short-term fix and an inspirational figure to lift his team. Probably explains why managers are knocking them back left right and centre.....
  23. Unless your pompey of course where you pay a premium and still get monkeys........
  24. exactly he's just been selected in the next England squad...
