  1. Cool I miss the JPT
  2. Touch of the Kelvin there as Nigel spills the ball at the save.......I wonder if NC goes down to the trainning ground for a bit of goal keeper trainning? How the hell did players run in those days surely the blood supply to their legs was cut off by their shorts....
  3. Another example of Harry's great management skills:lol: "The culture shock was terrible and it affected me. My first touch during games was terrible. I remember Harry Redknapp saying 'that lad cannot play football'. "When I read it in the paper, I thought, 'you're right, I'm terrible!' I then scored a goal and did better.
  4. Looks like Lee has realised he is not in SFC future plans and is laying the ground work for a move to Swindon http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17387011
  5. Good Idea DT. Ok just on the off chance that this thread is resurrected in a couple of years time If Morgan is still with us and playing really well - Morgan is very good a great player I always backed him. If Morgan is still with us and playing badly - I always new Morgan was rubbish total waste of cash. There that should cover me.......
  6. Come on we've all been there:lol:
  7. Good to see the youngsters getting chances at a bit of regular league football can only be a good thing. How many players do we have on loan now?
  8. Well to quote Oscar “In all matters of opinion, our adversaries are insane.”
  9. So what your suggesting is that no one should venture an opinion on the forum in case three years down the line they turn out to be wrong:p
  10. Quite nothing to stop them kicking off and going out in a blaze of glory (pitch invasion anyone) .... after all a banning order isn't much of a deterant when you no longer have a club to support
  11. Jesus Christ Second one today....You'd think with our current situation people would have better things to do than drag up threads to have a pop at people......still what ever makes people happy
  12. I wouldn't say cross more interested in what sort of person would bring up a three year old arguement to prove a point (actually thinking about maybe it's my wife she has form for that sort of thing). Seeing as I didn't post in the orginial post I'm certainaly not worried about my clueless posts counting against me. Surely those the bring up a three year old post are the ones looking for a ****ing contest.........
  13. yeah your right I just saw 2009 and figured league one....In fairness the whole team was pretty crap back in that season. Admin, relegation looming and **** poor performances every weel is hardly going to bring out loads of up beat threads about how amazing our players are......
  14. Not really it's based on opinions from almost three years ago. It's like dumping a fat, cheating drug addicted girl friend three years ago then bumping into her today to find out she's lost loads of weight, got clean and turnned over a new leaf she's now a much nicer (and hotter) pearson than when you dumped her.........doesn't mean you didn't make the right choice three years ago. Peoples opinions are based on what they see and feel in the present (or past) they can hardly base their opinions on something that hasn't yet happened which is why dragging up old threads is pretty pointless IMO
  15. WTF why do people drag up old threads like this? Honestly I've never seen the point other than to start arguments...... or is it some desperate need to be noticed? Anyway for what it's worth my hazy recollection is that Morgan didn't take to well to playing in league 1 to start with and tended to give the impression he was sulking. Wasn't he getting pressure from the French national coach to move elsewere? I'm pretty sure I read that Pardew had to put in some seroius time convincing Morgan to stay. At that time Wotton while blatantly not being anywhere near as good a footballer as Morgan at least always gave it 100% when he played and football fans like that. So If people preffered Wotton back then it's should hardly be a surprise.
  16. looks like lee has traded up clubs and gone to Oxfords arch rivals:lol: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17364614
  17. I love Donny great result
  18. Actually relegation might not be so bad If we don't overspend in the PL. If we spent wisely and yo yo'd back and forth between the PL and Championship building a team as we go it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'd rather that than going s hit or bust pompey style............
  19. That makes no sense going to the PL takes away our chance of promotion (unless you really think we're going to make the CL?) yet our crowds will get bigger but in the champ lack of promotion chances means a lack of crowd. The PL gives nothing to teams like us except a big pot of cash (which isn't a bad thing) but ends up benifitting the players and club officals more than it does the fans. As for the reast We will still lose our best players to bigger teams in the PL if they are any good Will we really sign better players? Were the players we had in the PL last time better than we have now (some yes but certainaly not all of them) Recognition on TV? You mean first on MOTD if we're playing a big boy or last on if we're not. All while having Lawerence and Hansen tip us for relegation. Or more chance to pay sky to watch saints....great More chance of international honours for our players...sadly the way I feel about international football and England in particular I have to say who cares chance of beating the biggest teams....yep once in a while in a cup upset kind of way...nice and I'll enjoy it but Swansea are still coasting at mid-table with little to actually look forward to despite beating Man city. chance of actually progressing and achieving something longer term....you really believe that? Honestly you see saints as what a constant top 6 side? top 8?
  20. Makes you wonder why we're all so desperate to get back there really. I can understand the players (at least the ones who think they won't get replaced in the summer), I can understand the club wanting all that filthy money the PL brings in but for the fans we get .......higher ticket prices, less games, less wins (most likely) and probably very little chance of winning anything. Yet if we get prommotion as champions I'll be over the moon...so confusing
  21. At least in league 1 (and a bit in the champ this year) we've found what it is like to be the big boys I imagine how we felt in league 1 is how Manu feel in the PL. Remember how you felt about teams like the Daggers, Yeovil and Brentford that's how all the teams in the PL will see us:(
  22. The cups would be nice...though I reckon after three seasons of saying "promotion is more important the cups are a distraction we can't afford" next season it will be "survival is everything the cups are a distraction we can't afford":)
  23. Best Rickie moment has to be that goal at MK Dons I was lucky enough to be there that day amazing goal and Rickies first every saints hatrick too. That sky sports video is great to It's really nice to have players who want to be at the club.
