Exactly he put in a fantastic well excuted tackle on Diouf in the second half yesterday and kept Diouf quite most of the day. This being the Diouf who was African player of the year twice, a Senglese international and in named in the FIFA 100 top players not to mention a PL player until recently Ok he is not the player he once was but Diouf is still a very good player at this level and yet Butterfield in what his third start this season? was more than match for him. Yet becuase Butterfield put in a few crap passes (we all saw them), most likely due to match sharpness he was crap......

Wow shocking a player who has played something like 3 first team games this season (none in a row) was a bit rusty.... while the one who has had a long run of games in the side played really well ....I wonder how that could possibly happen........
-
SDR best spell was after half time, once Lambert came off, when he moved up front he made several good runs at their defence which had the donny defence at 6s and 7s ....still think he is best used as an impact player against tierd defenders late on in the game.

Personally I can't leave early becuase then I wouldn't get my thumbs up from Jos....which would make me sad

How would you like your Manager to be?
doddisalegend replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I stopped bothering with Nigel's interviews they're pretty pointless lots of talk without really saying anything. Sometimes I catch one on Solent pre match and his interviews really haven't changed in two seasons. Sometimes I wish he'd be a little more honest (show a little more emotion about ****y reffing and such like) and say what he means but then I think I'd rather he just got on and won games and leave the talking ******** to a nob like Holloway.. -

Lucky them...don't think we will be so lucky and we won't find out to late june or something anyway..

I think me and mine have done OK we don't smoke so no loss there, increase in the income tax personal allowance is good, petrol is a bit of bugger it will cost me another 15p a week to fill up my scooter (a bit more for the wifes car) and we don't earn enough to lose child allowance. No complaints from me and I'm sure others must be in the same postion.

West Ham Pure Class (won the world cup in 66 etc)

I did...he said it wasn't that funny and you really shouldn't do that sort of thing with cucumbers...apparently he laughed to cover up his embarrassment... -

Hey poster 3 was just trying to give some frame of refrence (in his crappy state school English) to poster 2 as poster 1 had made no sense at all. As to how I knew about it I freely admit to lurking on other teams forums. KUMB (the Westham forum) is quite an amusing read at the moment as they're going into meltdown. One thing that reading other teams forums does show is despite attempts by some posters on here to make out that only saints fans are negative wrist slashers is not true. There's a guy on the Reading Hobnob forum who did a great post about how Reading won't go up this season after winning 8 in a row.... -
We're not going to have sell outs every week we can't get sell outs now while winning most of the time with chances of being champions. If people won't turn up now why are they going to turn up to watch us (most likely) lose more often and fight it out for a mid table postion..

Thread on KUMB about Reading one WHU fan thought he'd throw a bit of **** our way for some reason. http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=139309 -
I'm not sure the number of season ticket holders will go up that much. ST will cost more, number of games will be less, kick off times will be all over the shop (meaning people might not be able to attend as often) and people could just watch saints on sky more often.

People always liked us in the PL no doubt. One of the wierd things about being in league 1 was suddendly finding out that fans of teams like Brentford and Colchester all seemed to hate us. I reckon (proper football rivals aside) teams are liked/disliked by other teams based on how much of a threat they are. Hence in the PL everyone likes us in the champ it's 50/50 in league one everyone seemed to hate us.

Is that 6 goals for Jos now? I have to say his first couple of games I was thinking "I'm not sure about this guy" but he has just got better and better. His only weakness seems to be to dally on the ball in dangerous areas occassinally that can cause a few oops moments. Celtic must have some amazing defenders if they could afford to let Jos go.....

"Typical Saints" will probably mess it up after all
doddisalegend replied to CB Fry's topic in The Saints
Don't worry I'm sure typical saints will reappaer next season in the PL. Thing is Typical saints have been about for 20-25 years while the new saints you describe have only been around three years which would make them Atypical saints wouldn't it? -
Hull 0 - 2 Saints - Post Match Reaction Thread

Great win. Great results else where. I only listened to the game on solent so I tend not to comment much when I only have whispering Daves point of view but last night sounded very much like a good night for the defence (who even provided the goals) I had this down as a tricky game so great result. I'm starting to think I might actually see saints see became league champions at last ( to add to seeing them win acup final two things I thought I'd never see in my lifetime) Happy days -
I think you have liked and respected mixed up we were liked in the PL becuase everyone thought we were an easy 6pts and we had Matty. I doubt many clubs respected us anymore than most of our fans respected Yeovil in league 1.
-
What like Wigan or Bolton? I have to ask myself which clubs I respect more the likes of Hartlepool or Carlisle who carry on despite getting next to nothing from the football gravy boat with fans who go to surpport a team that is neither glamourus or likely to ever be very succsessful footballing wise or a team like Man city or Liverpool with hordes of glory fans and constant supply of big money who seem intent on filling Englands top league with overpaid foreigners (and a few overpaid englishmen to boot).
-
Like we did last time? being in the PL never stopped our best players leaving before (Le God excepted). All clubs need the PLs money but personally think to many people get caught up in the sky marketing of the PL.

This has got to be some 12 year old chav of a millwall fan hasn't it? Dirty horrible scouse **** hope he dies by being gang raped by a group of aids infested Somalians.

Sorry I must have missed something...what have they actually achieved? This is the difference between the Champ/league 1 and the PL apparently in the PL mid table safety and endless years of being safe is an achievement becuase in reality the PL is a closed shop only realisticly winnable by a handful of teams. The last few seasons I've actually been able to look at saints and think yeah we could win this league that ain't ever going to happen in the PL. Next season (if we make it) we will be back to getting all excited about not being relegated or finishing mid table rather than actually winning anything that's the truth for 80% of PL teams. People banging on about you don't play football to come second are right in the PL you play to come 8th or 9th and then pass it off as achievement. Having said all that clubs need the cash cow that is the PL if you ain't at the top table you get scraps and not many clubs can survive on those.
