Luckily I'm a chapel ender I can't be accussed of sing any songs...I stick to polite clapping and the odd shout of "Good show" or "Bad luck old chap"

West ham and Watford hadn't lost on the road before they came to us............

Surely playing in any league is only good if your winning on a regular basis I bet Blackburn fans aren't exactly loving the PL right now. Re players won't the same thing happen in the PL? We might hold on to our good players a bit longer but in the end if they turn out to be real PL class they'll just get nabbed by one of the PL big boys all the same. The PL is a bit of a football dead end for most clubs really they get to the promised land and then, unless they're going to spend very big, just spend they're time trying not to get relegated.

Unless they've spent all week preparing for it trainning and then have to make last minute adjustments to their game plan. At the end of the day I don't know how it will effect the opposition but NA must think there is some merit in being coy about injuries or he wouldn't be so secrative and obtuse about them.

Someone posted up after the palace match the De-ridder tweeted he was sorry for playing so badly. If the player can see it you'd think the fans could.....

I imagine he's given hope to loads of old fat blokes though "yes you too can have two women (admittedly no stunners -putting it mildly) on the go at once and even convince your wife to stay married to you while you do so"

The wife of a Liberal MP steals a kitten belong to his daughter, by another woman, while dropping off his post to him at his lovers house. It's not so much the cat stealing that's interesting but his rather errrrr unusual lifestyle. Still unlike most MPs he doesn't actually try to hide it..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-15490557

He did it all the time last season when Adam was out injuried before every game NA would be saying "Adams there or there abouts" yet come 30mins before kick off no Lallana on the team sheet. Teams are bound to set up to try and nulify AL so keeping them guessing as to whether he plays or not seems to be one of Nigel's little pre-match games.
-
You can't trust NA when it comes to player injuries he likes to keep everyone guessing. before the game "Of course Adam will be playing Tony" after the game "My bad he wasn't fit after all. You didn't set boro up to cancel out Adam did you Tony ?.......oh dear"
-
What he said^^. I'd rather support the players we have now in the PL than a bunch of dis-intrested looking players with names I can barely pronounce....
-
I think it's something a few of us have similar thoughts on. On the one hand we all want saints to do well on the other the nagging doubt that the PL isn't all it's cracked up to be....

League one was fine TBF (snow aside)

It's football forums a lot of fans only have a limited knowledge of the opposition (I'll include myself in that at times) West ham fans were the same.... General consesus on some other club boards is we have some how fluked our way to the top, have a paper thin squad, relay on Lambert for goals and will fall to the bottom of the table like a rock as soon as the "promtion effect" wears off.
-
I think we've only got to win another 9 games to beat the all time record of 25 home wins on the trot set in some Northern hellhole beginning with a B (Barnsley? Burnley?). Another good reason to get knocked out of the CC don't want some PL team coming here and ruinning our record breaking attempt.

Have we nicked all pompey's best youth talent LOL? Still with the new academy rules thingy I suppose pompey will have to get used to losing all the best local talent to us......

Oh FFS really a monday? Bloody TV moving games is a pain in the arse. Football should be played at 3.00 on a saturday with the odd evening game at 7.45 on a tuesday all other times are a ****ing pain.

Boro fans seem cofident I particulary like this well informed poster "Southampton are a two man team, Lallana and Lambert, if we can keep those two quiet, we have a good chance, we need to take advantage of Fonte's temperament and Kelvin Davis has looked dodgy at times this season. still they are a good team, but lack a good squad. they dont have much (outside of that De Ridder) off the bench." http://www.oneboro.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=2893 Is going to be tough high scoring footballing tem vs low scoring very good defensive team. To close to call probably a 0-0 bore draw.

Mostly agree but we all know what happened to the last manger to put cups before league Nigel isn't going to make that mistake. Win last night with a strong team and lose on sat to boro might leave NA with some explaining to do to NC. -

That the impression I got from solent a decent finisher up front and the game would have been different. -

I would Martin has so far proved more than good enough. I'm not happy with Jack cork at CB though so unless Jaidi is going to recover soon an extra CB is a need. TBF to NA I don't think he expected jaidi to be out this long and who would have predicted Seaborne would be lost to us in the way he has been. -

Maybe they should... however to use this result with such a changed team as indication of imminent league collapse makes no sense. I imagine the team we put out tonight would struggle against most championship sides luckily this isn't the team we normally play. -

Is there any point in comparing tonights team with the team we normally put out? We played a midfielder in defence, a 16 year old, a striker who can't even get on the bench on match days and a RB who has played twice this season. Todays result is hardly an indication that our league form is shot to pieces. -

Wasn't expecting much as soon as I heard we'd made 10 changes. For everyone saying they're worried about how we're playing after this game, this team was so far removed from our normal first team as to make any comparsions pretty pointless. For a team of fringe and development players I didn't think they played to bad if Forte could put his chances away might have been a different game.
