WTF was this hammers fan watching The Saints think they have a good side...thats why i asked the question. I thought that was our 2nd worst display of the season...and they were hanging on. I don't see how anyone can take positives out of that game or give Southampton credit They were sh*t, we were worse and is this the ipswich we ****ged by 5 at their place? Funny, we were chatting with a couple of Saints fans before the game and I said I thought Ipswich were the best footballing side we have played this year love this one Right now it aint good enough and we should be wiping the floor with the teams in this league cos the league is in my humble not good - i aint seen a decent team yet. As a side, Southampton as a club are rather embarrassing nowadays. What was that half time game about? I cringed. A lot.

Yes when Harding came on, talking to the people around me, we all thought harding would go LB and fox would move up to LM. Was a bit odd.

I agree alot of them seem to having trouble adjusting to the fact they're not in the PL anymore. I can't believe they play hoofball like that every week they surely can't have got to second in the league playing like that all the time.

50-50 on their forum it seems half horrified at what big sam is doing the other half seem happy as long as they get back to where they belong (league 1?)

Actually I think what's going on the pitch has more to do with it. Best atmosphere in recent times MK Dons last season? but we can't come from 2-0 down every week. Last night at 1-0 I don't think a lot of the home crowd felt comfortable that impacted on the atmosphere if we'd been four up place would have been rocking.

it's not all nice They thoroughly deserve to be where they are right now, and fecking good luck to them. But I don't believe that it will last. I hope they go up with us (don't care in what order that is, as long as we're in the top two), but I don't think they will. And I still believe that we WILL finish top two, and probably as champions. I think they will make the play-offs but I suspect their squad is not strong enough to maintain the level of performance they have right now when they get a few injuries But we are 2nd .Saints, who are top weren't great last night Subdued? You should have tried sitting in with the Home fans like I did, barely uttered a word all night

Thought it was quite flat last night, both sets of supporters seemed nervous I think the chance to go/stay top made everyone a bit twitchy

My take on last night Only one team was interested in playing football and winning this game (and it wasn't WHU) jos had his best game in a saints shirt MOTM for me Jose had an off day IMO Chappers was great -so much better than last season ^%5*&%$£ ref for robbing SDR of his goal West ham really aren't very good considering the players they have Great attendence -but the atmosphere was a bit flat I thought. I put down to both sets of fans Knowing this was a big match and being nervous Harding at LM??? - bit wierd though he put himself about.

They're deluded hoof ball merchants they were a very poor team just goes to show being the best on paper counts for squat. Nolan must be the most overated player in the league if he plays like he did last night all the time.

Brilliant in the air though absolute beast no one else in the team clears with a header like Jiadi. Games like tonight he's the sort of player you want up against Carew. Fonte always looked most comfortable beside Jaidi IMO. I believe he intends to retire and start his coaching qualifications, with a view to becoming manager of his national team one day, wouldn't mind him staying on a coaching role.

I imagine in truth we're the same, but your average football fan really doesn't know much about oppostion most of the time take this quote from the WHU forum. From what I can tell from their forums WHU have turnned up to parked men behind the ball to stifle home teams and then try and nick something. I can't see big Sam changing that against a team who are scoring for fun and un-beaten at home. Can't see WHU coming at us TBF. Though maybe Big sam will throw cuation to the wind and play into our hands.

???? I think it's more tactical than a problem with Deano who has been excellent this season. If it's going to be a tight packed midfield I can see Dean starting tonight alongside Cork (as long as NA doesn't play him a RB again) to help stop us getting overrun, Morgan back to the bench I reckon.

With a few exceptions (MK Dons, AFC dons) surely most of the clubs in the football leagues have pretty long historys? It was OK until the PL put most of the money in the hands of a few rather than sharing the wealth.
