We have been very slack over the past few games with possession. We seem to be giving it away very sloppily lately. The third Palace goal was the result of once more giving away possession unnecessarily. We need to work on that.

Clyne will stay a Saint if we are in the Champions League. We can achieve that if we can reinforce over the next week with a couple of good signings. ...and if not I'm sure we can find a replacement for him with £20m. I'm sanguine about individual players, but I am concerned that we might be about to throw away our chance to hit the big time. IF the players are out there, we need to spend a little more to get through the next month.

I hope that it prompts the Boardroom to dig deep in the next week. A striker and a midfielder would be nice. We need reinforcements. We have one aim now. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. We are close. Time to spend the dosh that's left. After all, if we fail we have £45m from Sneiderlin and Clyne to come in the summer - it's worth the gamble. Boardroom test is coming. To invest or not to invest? Is Koeman about to be failed by indecision and lack of courage by the Board? Personally, I cannot see us being in this position again. SPEND.

Injuries must force our hand to invest NOW in another striker and possibly another midfielder like Classie. I think we should invest, even if paying slightly over the odds. And we should invest now if we can. We may not have another chance to hit the Champions League. Time to gamble.
