I've said it all along. We couldn't have done better than Koeman. But, Koeman is only as good as the Boardroom allow him to be, and they are still sitting on money whilst Koeman asks for reinforcements. They have 2 days to show us they want Koeman to take Saints to the next level.

We will know soon enough. Judgement Day is boiling down to bringing in a couple more players Koeman wants and spending more of the treasure we have gathered AND retaining players Koeman wants. Schneiderlin is a player Koeman clearly wants, he's obviously building a system around him. If he is sold it will be time to call for Krueger and probably Reeds heads. Koeman has made his intensions clear. The Boardroom must now support him or leave themselves.

Agreed. Especially the piece on van Gaals versus the media. I think VG will fail because of this. He is simply too arrogant for the British media. Where Alex Ferguson and Mourino often batter the media, they were proven in the PL and more often than not gave the media something back. VG doesn't seem to. If he continues to lose games (and he will this season) the British media will destroy VG in my opinion. We have the better manager for the PL. We just need to ensure our Boardroom support him.

I think RK is outstanding. But he might look crap without a Centre Back, Striker and right winger before Monday. Are our owner, Krueger and Reed going to deliver x3 players of note with the money they have in the bank to make Koeman a great before Monday?

Great win at West Ham. Congratulations are due mainly to the players and the coaching team but a small amount of credit is also due to the fans who by their pressuring of the board by not laying down and accepting the dismantling of the squad, caused Kruguer and Reed to cancel the sale of Schneiderlin. Fans who criticise are not negative, they are just fans who want the best for the club and will not swallow every tale they are told instead of applauding every decision without question. The role of the Critical Friend is often key to improvement. Professor posted this earliest and the mods blocked the thread. He is right. Great post. Indeed a golden one, being 'negative' in order to support your manager and reinforce your team is what real fans are about. Don't be satisfied with today's result ... Our club will no longer be a joke when we continue to do what we did to West Ham today regularly. Success = success. To do that Krueger and Reed need to give us a striker, centre back and right winger by Monday. We can't do this every week - but we could..... and we have the money to give our manager the chance to. 1 Sep. x3 players Krueger. X3 players of note to support my manager. Do it or go.
