http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11176 If you look at this face in one window and read the article in another it's uncanny. The picture is actually more animated. Scarey.

Probably a fair assessment Stanley - on all counts.
-
Thanks. You have my support.

Yep... and Coventry I believe under SISU and Coleman are not actually in danger of relegation and likely to finish mid-table, well above Saints? mmmmmmm... another summer (obvious) prediction starts to emerge. Now... we have also never heard WHY our own shareholders refused the SISU deal which arguably would have had us in Coventry's position right now. Come on Wilde/Lowe... do tell.

So he writes in the programme as Chairman of Football... but has the ****ty seat behind Lowe as Chairman of the plc? Mike? Surely time to flex you muscles - hand over your shares to Crouch mate.
-
That has always been Lowe's greatest failure in my book. You are absolutely right. If only he'd take time to talk to us and explain the problems clearly he might bring people with him... but he couldnt even do it at the AGM. I notice as well today he has stopped doing the Chairman bit in the programmes... I suspect he hasnt since returning, hadnt really noticed before. Why's he hiding from accountability? Why is he hiding??????

..and wont with most League 1 teams.

Selling St. Mary's and developing Staplewood....
SaintRobbie replied to bigdavewatson's topic in The Saints
Why not? We'll be in League 2 in 1 1/2 years time. Makes sense if you're intent on turning SFC into a plc that is allowed to survive as it provides young players for CCC teams. An option I suggest Lowe would genuinely contemplate if necessary. Personally... I think its boooools though -
Paul, I'll be totally honest mate. I went to watch Swindon a couple of months ago. They were better than Saints then and are currently struggling at the bottom of League 1. That was when I concluded that our team was heading straight for League 2 - not 1 - under Lowe/JP.
-
Spot on assessment. Did anyone see JP on the touchline in the 2nd half? I kept glancing over and he was glued to his seat. ENCOURAGEMENT!?
-
You know, much as I do believe Surman loves the shirt and wants to be here - and he actually IS one of our better players (a damning indictment of our squad) - you are on to something there. I would swap Surman now for Bairdy. Too bloody right! With Bairdy - Perry - Skacel and Davis (plus another MAN) we'd have a defence. I dont think we'll see Svensson enough to make a difference sadly.
-
I noticed in the programme Rasiak is the leading Saints player goal scorer STILL with 33 goals for the Saints. He's miles ahead of his nearest squad rival BWP with 24! I think David McSoftshot has about 8 as I recall. I think we've found our answer to our striking problems.

heard some interesting stuff and met some good people today

Come on guys - its pieces of the jigsaw from posters like this that make this messageboard so important. We can all make our own minds up on which bits to add salt to. I admire posters who start these threads... we wouldnt have a messageboard worth tapping away on otherwise. -
Good summary - although I would say minus 2 points for all scores as I am a slightly harder marker. Perry, Davis and Skacel were our best players by a country mile.

Oh dear. That bit might be really really bad news. -
To be honest Tim, it was the worst FA Cup game for atmosphere at SMS I have ever been to. Honestly. Although it was nice to see the Itchen Corner in full voice and 'enjoying' themselves on the odd occassion.
-
I thought the kids tried hard. Trouble is they wouldnt get a 'should try harder' tick on their school reports as the teachers would have recognised that they were playing above their ability. I think you're right. Duncan, you know this club in detail better than most and history is a critical medium for understanding how things can turn out. Do you, like me, think that unless we see a major change top to bottom VERY SOON, this Club is heading for League 2 in 1 1/2 seasons time?
-
I agree! Well said Duncan. Let's bring this thread back at the end of January and see what happened.

Any... just get rid of the clueless cloggy.

Was Rupert Lowe set up by the remaining Shareholders?
SaintRobbie replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Criminal neglegence in my eyes, the rape of a football club and theft of pride from the fans. I suspect you are right - would be nice to see exactly how much was taken into shareholders dividends, expenses and salaries though wouldnt it? Thanks for this. -
So has he given up on competing for the play-offs now then? I thought that was his aim at the start of the season... I rollyeyedthingied him then I must admit.

Just back and I came on to the messageboard to say that I couldnt bring myself to do anything other than support the nippas as I thought they were - on the whole - giving their all. I suddenly understood why people havent been protesting against Lowe but supporting the team, whom I thought were trying hard. Not been for a few weeks, in protest against Lowe, so I am quite surprised to read this. Is this what people really think? I noticed JP was nowhere to be seen - especially in the 2nd half. I could have missed it but, I never saw him once on the touch line encouraging the kids. That upset me a bit, but I thought the kids tried hard.... for League 2 standard players.
