Rudi: Too many youngsters playing and I want away

Skacel AND Wotton... who's next to speak out? Davies or Perry? Afterall - they're our only men left. -
Rudi: Too many youngsters playing and I want away
SaintRobbie replied to Big Ron fan's topic in The Saints
My thoughts exactly. For Rudi to attack the Club's policy of playing 9 nippas so blatantly is pretty worrying. JP hasnt just lost the fans - he's losing his experience. It just gets worse. -
Sorry - but I am not rising to the bait Sundance. Wake up my friend. For what its worth everyone, MLT summed up my position perfectly on Saturday's SSN. I blame each board for their roles from Lowe to Crouch in bringing about the mess we're in. I agree wholeheartedly with MLT. We must get a change and soon. His view and mine chime exactly.... misguided, Stalinesque despots the two of us. (sigh)

Rudi: Too many youngsters playing and I want away

Oh god. One of our best players on Sunday. Oh god. When will it ever get better? -
Sundance, people DONT support Lowe. That my friend is the only reply worth putting down to your post.

possibly - it looked to me as if they had more off target mind than were saved by Kelvin.

Simon Jordan hits the nail on Lowe's Head (worth revisiting)
SaintRobbie replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Like him or loath him, Jordan's pretty accurate on this assessment. -
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1105123/Southampton-0-Man-Utd-3-Too-easy-United-Saints-suffer-Patersons-red.html I think that assessment is as fair as it gets to be honest. Fergie even justifying to his fans why they didnt feel like really slaughtering us when they could have.

Very good summary from the Mail I thought. Surprising.

Yesterday. Interview in one of the newspapers... its on one of the threads Ron...sorry I do mean Pekhart, apologies.

Wonder how much it'd cost us to get Rasiak back? (Our current squad member with the highest goalscoring tally for Saints with 33, a mile away from BWPs all time 24!)

I hope you're going to write a book about all this one day Duncan.
-
LOL - hadnt realised Kelvin had won it quite as often as he has. Yes it speaks volumes for Total(ly naff) Football.

Have to say, I have been pretty consistent over the years of posting on here in demanding managers be given time and a chance. I even supported Burley & Redknapp right until it became obvious they didnt want to be here. But JP? No chance. HAS to go I'm afraid. Any unemplyed British manager would stand more chance of building a winning team that might flook survival above this chap.

Yes but, leadership in any club starts at the top and works down. Its the same anywhere - but in sports teams and places like the Armed Forces it is even more important that the leadership is good enough as they have to compete TOGETHER as a team for success or failure, and consequences of failure are disasterous for those that support them. They are more akin than businesses. So get the top right, and the rest follows. Yes it is a bit obsessional, but when the reason for failure stares at you every day and is allowed to continue it is a tadge frustrating. ... I do comment on the footy too occassionally

I dont. I think we need to go and find someone. We need to sell this Club and I have described how we can be constructive and try to do it in numerous threads. We do need change... I think we say the same things Frank to be honest... but to get change you have to seek it. Sitting on our arses and watching the club sail into League 2 is no longer an option.
-
Exactly right. Have to say, if I type from the hip and express myself passionately at times it is done for a love of a club... and the pride of what it has been an can be again. Not only football. Pride. We wouldnt be posting on here - any of us - if it were only football.
-
Sorry... forgive me I must have missed the fact that Lowe has delivered us to European football and glory. I must be in a different world... hang on I'll check the last few months of results... No I'm right! Lowe relegated us once before and will again. Loser.

The Official Saints Web "He Could Do A Good Job For Us" Thread

Why was the Dailly thread closed... was it bollooooockx? -
Are we the only team who can't sack our manager, regardless of the results?
SaintRobbie replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Except this time he's staked his personal reputation on this idea and thus his well-documented arrogance may well see him through to the final end on this one. Dont ask me to define final end. -
Agree with a lot of that. But FC the most important point you make is in bold. A man who loses the faith of so many people over such a period time can only do that through negligence, ineptude, inability, poor salesmanship, poor media profiling, arrogance... the list goes on. Lowe has done all that in spades and is therefore NOT TRUSTED and ASSOCIATED WITH FAILURE. Whether he is right or not this time is no longer relevant, he is regarded as a loser, he disunites the Club (internally with employees both within SMS and in the team AND externally), he interfers with team business AND IS ACTING AS A DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL a job he is not qualified to do, he has presided over the fall of this club and his policies (money driven or not) are leading us VERY rapidly into League 2 - not 1 - League 2. Now, money or not... tell us where else a man who is as divisive and mistrusted leads a serious plc or any other business? I'm sorry, but confidence breeds success. Whether Lowe is good or not is now irrelevant, he is failing on a well established reputation for being a poor chairman. I really do not understand why people think only Lowe can lead us out of this financial mess. Frankly we could employ a CEO who has more experience on a lower salary to handle the finances and still achieve the same result... but with unity. Lowe is a cancer, the plc he represents is a cancer, Saints have been mismanaged by those connected to it for 14 odd years with only further relegation(s) to look forward to. Lowe is not needed any longer... in any capacity. Nor are our shareholders. Time to delist and do a Sheffield Utd - Delist for the good of the Club. Delist and rebuild with new leadership. Lowe HAS to leave for good - whether he's a genius or not, there if absolutely NO confidence in him apart from with the major shareholders who may - inadvertently or not - be stitching him up.
-
What went wrong? Nothing. It is the same as it was, just that teams in the CCC were still sussing us out. Now they have and we're playing the same stuff. There IS only one plan. There are too many changes. Lowe (as Cork has told us) is not allowing JP to pick the side but introducing Club Policies on player selection. JP STILL doesnt understand enough about the league or teams within it to make a difference. And one more point. When this thread was written the kids were fearless - and I think we still had Svensson at the back with other MEN - the kids are losing week in week out... they may still be battling away but life has left the supporting crowd, they fear SMS, they are absorbing gradually the losing mentality that Lowe has been famous for. In sum, the coach and board are broken, the nippas are now sussed out by real footballing teams and we the fans are leaving in our droves.
-
I agree Alpine. Another accurate assessment.
-
Agree 100%... although we do not have enough old pros at the moment. We do need a takeover and investment. I have suggested that we stop sitting on our backsides but be constructive and proactive by forming a board of legends, council, local MP if necessary, Crouch/Wilde and fans and we get out there and find a buyer. We can let Lowe continue to kill the Club - because when he continually sells our best players there is absolutely no chance of success (It will be like waiting for a bus to come that was scrapped on that route 14 years ago) - or we can try and try again to do something to SELL this club. Sitting on our backsides and hoping for a Lowe miracle is only an option for people awaiting a van with a white coated man on the bus route described. No other resources will be forthcoming. So why dont we do something constructive? Answer: Lowe and the other shareholders who use Lowe wont sell. Evidence: SISU. Can Wilde and Crouch force the issue... yes they probably can.
