I wouldn't get too hung up on relegation odds. Living outside of Southampton, I talk to other football fans who simply assume we're going to struggle because most promoted teams do and about half go straight back down. Odds are based on statistics and current betting trends. What they don't appreciate is how ambitious Saints are and that crucially we have no debt.

Realistically you're probably right but why do players / Nicola say these things?

Now that Saints have completed the 5 year plan in 3, what should we aim for for the next 5 years? Should we dream big or is that not being realistic? At the awards dinner, Rickie Lambert said he thought Saints were going all the way to the top. For me that means competing for the premiership title. In the past Nicola has reportably said Champions League qualification is our aim and there's talk about expanding the stadium. Where do you think we'll be in 2017, realistically and dreaming big?

Rickie Lambert needs 12 more league goals to break into the all time top ten. Also interesting to see in the club honours how many times we finish 2nd!

I remember this. It was the league cup semi-final and he got sent off for kicking Kevin Bond up the a*se. I also think he was praising us through gritted teeth yesterday. The game was a 0-0 draw I think and then we lost the return leg.

It's very unlikely that West Ham will win all 5 games. Even if the they win 4 and draw 1, with our goal difference we probably only need 9 points. 3 wins or 2 wins and 3 draws. If we can't do this we don't deserve to go up. Have faith everyone!

I ran this last year. The celebrity starters were Lawrie Mac and David James. As I passed the start, I shouted "Lawrie" at the top of my voice and was waving at him. He looked at me as if to say "Do I know this nutter" while waving back enthusiastically. However, the best thing about it was David James looking on completely bemused as I completely blanked him! Finished in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 23 seconds. Disappointed to be beaten by Ben Fogle by 1 second, but I suppose he has rowed the Atlantic Ocean! I'm running my first marathon in London in April. Hope to beat 4 hours.
