He's a very good mate of mine, season ticket holder and regular away traveller. A top bloke too. I was only out with him on Sunday and this is totally not in his character! Everyone keep your eyes peeled.
I'd suggest that those who see themselves as British in NI wouldn't want to be part of a free Ireland, as it would then mean they live in Ireland. They'd probably want to come back to Britain in that instance.
If we keep appointing managers who improve us and then leave after 18 months, then it shouldn't be too long until the cycle reaches its conclusion with us as European champions and the manager having nobody else to go to.
When he goes to Spurs, the board can say "well, he turned down £6 million, he's the villain!" And then replace him with someone on a quarter of that. Everyone's a winner, except us losers.
Why would he? He has no particular loyalty to us, some of his best players will be sold and it appears we've reached our highest level. I'm not too sure he'd see the point.
