Just back in the car, what a game that was. Blaming Guly is the easy option but it wasn't as easy as wing made out, it shot back at him at some speed at quite an awkward height. He of course should have buried it. IMO J Rod's miss was just as bad but he won't get any flack at all. Overall Adkins got it spot on, we matched their boring dull route one football.

The initial error from the goal was from Shaw. He followed berbatov I think right into the middle of the pitch, with Morgan covering for him half heatedly. Shaw then decided to jog back into position rather than sprint, resulting in them being able to double up on him and hence they got in behind. He also needs to learn how to wrap his foot around a clearance rather then smashing it into touch each time.

4-4-2 was terrible. Should have stuck with what we were doing and bring in a direct replacement for Lallana on the left. Problem is, we don't really have one.

I'd say some of them have a peek, probably the younger players. Would be human nature I guess?

It's not the best, but stronger than last season IMO. It doesn;t come close to the PL of a decade or so ago though. Still think we'll survive quite comfortably and I don't think we are particularly strong, so that shows you what I think of some of the other teams around us.

I've never once been skiing in my life, I feel like I'm missing out but then whenever it's entered my head, the thought of laying on a warm beach has always been a clincher. I might try it one day, I'll try and blag my way onto a freebie ski trip with my work for starters I think.
