The investments obviously there and hopefully we'll start making it show on the pitch

That's obscene wot next a Spitfire engine in a bike....hmmmm
-
Spondoolies the problem, as always, there's always something more pressing to spend the cash on. Look forward to the day when I can start dusting of my bike gear, my AGV is still sat in the cupboard gathering dust but can't bring myself to sell it. Maybe I should check out if I can hire one for a day..................
-
This season that statement is valid more than ever
-
That's ok, just jealous that you have a bike to hit the open road with *sniff* one day I'll be back in the saddle:p
-
My point was a light hearted jibe that on the open road on a motorbike, 60 and 70 can also be considered 'dawdling' not that I'm condoning speeding or anything
-
Yes - no doubt the people that listen to the 'other' Radio stations think there is no need for 5Live and World Service, shows what the BBC is about, diversity and appealling to the masses
-
So is 60 and 70:rolleyes:

Wanna do Scandanavia but beer is too expensive - on a bit of a budget trip Budapest and Prague both high on the list as is Slovenia but I'm drawn to Italy and thought Rome maybe too expensive, Parma sounds interesting. The more I look into this the more I wanna get in a car a bugger off for 3 months and do the lot

Before I clicked the link I thought you'd mispelt the title and meant Reformed Klinsman Link was made me laugh in it's full context
-
Too true, market foces baby, roll with it or wither. bit like the music industry, due to file sharing the parties over and they need to re evaluate the 'cash cow' and evolve
-
Most BBC programs are sold world wide generating income that in most cases pays for the program and some allowing for that extra dosh to be put back into making more programs.

I'd change the people hitting the panic button and whinging that we're not winning 5-0 every game. This football lark is not an exact science and I believe a club built up slowly with a large degree of consistency within the club is key to success, throwing big managers and big money dosen't always pay off and if it does it's generally short lived
-
Well said - we can expect more stringent rules on clubs living within their means and we are very well placed to be building on that ethos and will be ahead of the game in years to come. It'll be the fans ultimately that build this club not some mega rich monkey spunking money all over the place and I'm all for it, it'll be our club!
-
I want the usual negative impatient posters out who feel the need to continuley pour fuel on the fire that we're doomed - we're in a position to give the man time so lets do it FFS Please see the reality of the situation in it's context - please.....
-
It's a HUGE effort required is to click the link and take a look , sometimes I have to lay down after clickying a linkying thingy
-
Yeah ok, lets hit the panic button and sack everyone, we've shed loads of games and comments and discussion like these are due later on in the year when the pressure is truley mounting and I'll be here banging the drum as you are but not now
-
The BBC also has a very succefull commercial arm to the corporation makiing stacks in selling the content and ploughing it back into business for the greater good, not going to line shareholder pockets The BBC is a marvellous set up that is the envy of the world
-
How short sighted, it isn't Xmas yet - surely you can see the elements of improvements starting to happen
-
sodding whingers!! realism and patience - why can't you all see that the club has had many years of having the heart torn out of it from the inside, it's gonna take a while to get back on track A succeful club is not just a good manager and football team A certain Mr Ferguson was given time...............
-
Here we go again - cue the facking we're doomed brigade FFS - will everyone just chill and give it the time that's needed

School violence blamed on corporal punishment removal
BadgerBadger replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Lounge
I had a backside that was black and blue from the belt or hand as a youngster and I'll never do the same to my kids as all it did for me was give me a 'fack you' attitude, the punishment was used in place of good communication and I would've been far better dealt with by being given a rationale and explanation for what it's all about - 'the pen is mightier than the sword' is still a very prudent statement but it's how both are handled that is the key to it all What it did give me though was a placid outlook and that violence serves nothing but the perpetrators ego - shows the subject to be a contentious one I guess -
Murdoch and his cronies always remind me of OCP (couldn't remember that so had to look it up) from Robocop
