  4. Anyone get to the beer fest on Saturday - some great ales were quaffed. Resorted to lucky dip by the end of the night with a few 6% sending me close to the edge....:smt119

  7. I think his post match interviews warrant a return if nothing else
  8. It's all relative plus look at other managers of supastars that make a pigs ear of it, my point being it takes a certain magic in someone to pull together a group of individuals to form a team, Mourihno, Keane.....
  9. Guardiola did alright - so Tisdale defo worth a punt
  10. Now listen to this - the lyrics are so apt: Is it too early to champion a brave new dawn.......?
  11. Money alone won't get you to the promised land (although it does help enormously). Finding that sweet spot of a good manager to build up a team over a few seasons, tweaking it here and there but essentialy having continuity through out the club are just as important
  12. I only have 2 on my birthday but then I do have Abdullah the Butcher, I'll leave that with you

  14. I'm renewing ans so's my wife
  15. So gutted he's not still with us - for me he's one of them managers worth building a club around, akin to Curbishley and Alladyce, plays good honest well motivated football, he certainly creates an excellent team ethic that can outplay money and skill Good on him
  16. Name change to NotFarEnoughAwaySaint1
  17. Rest easy Mars it'll never happen - they'll be no better time to buy a football club than in these financially troubled times and the peeps with the dosh and acumen know that hence the interest. Banks want hard cash so are willing to write a load of debt off, that's gotta be attractive - I'll trade 10 points for that any day and look forward to entertaining the happy chappies at Southend next season. The Phoenix will rise from the flames once again - muhahahahahahah!! Out of interest Nick Illingsworth or Rupert?
  18. I'd invest only if the players took a pay cut
  19. Chuckle brothers
  20. I'd have to find another reason to wander into town to start drinking at 13:00 stop for a few hours and watch something that could be really exciting or could be like watching paint dry and then return to a pub and continue drinking.
  21. No and no again - it would never work, he's better off on the fringes
  22. Will the pheonix rise from the flames - is this the moment that potential buyers have been biding their time for??
  23. Heard on Radio Solent this morning that the parent company is going into admin hoping to avoid the club getting 10 point reduction
  24. Ouch - gonna knock his confidence I reckon Can't wait to see how Lorenzo gets on this season and whether he's gonna stop crashing and mix it at the top. Old man Capriossi is storming in the Suzuki And I hope Gibernau and Rossi continue their spat - loads of fun
