  1. I think Cortese would be Daft to get O'Neil Not because O'Neil is not very good, far from it, he is TOO GOOD Does anyone REALLY think that, in a few months, when the reality of Division Three football sinks home, that he would not want the Big Time again ?? He would not stay for the "Plan" to be realised. There is no loyalty left in the game, and Contracts are only worth the Pay Off Clause
  2. One could mount a good argument as to whether Britain is actually British anymore. Most of it is owned by Overseas People
  3. No, keep it going lads, I'm really interested Regards Martin
  4. As O'neil is out of work, Cortese could keep hi sapproach "secret" as per his usual M.O.O With Cotteril, he would have to get permission to talk to him from his Club, and that would in no way remain "secret"
  5. I think the IRA could give the most definitive answer to this Question
  6. One lives in hope
  7. : yes he has:blush:
  8. Be fair, the other two were only holding her down
  9. PLUS John Terry's incessant Sh*t Stirring behind the scenes. Terry is a nasty individual IMHO Do you for one minute think he was HAPPY with Capello for taking his captaincy away ???
  10. I don't think so. No way Pardew would have been allowed to attend the Service The straw that broke the camels back happened AFTEr the 4-0 away win at B Rovers, and it was so bad that it warrented Instant dismissal Or so the rumour goes The BIG question as far as I am concerned is the fact that all three got Instant Dismissals WHY ??? Very strange that, So they ALL committed the same SIN at the SAMR time ??? ( Whatever the sin was of course ) Where Cortese goes wrong is his belief that we Supporters are not worthy of ANY type of explanation whatsoever. That may work in Banking, but it certainly does not work at a Football Club, especially an English one
  11. Yes, most likely going to have a "Costa " Moment with Nicola
  12. Not only that, the Car Parking Charges have also proved to be a Financial winner too
  13. Now I know why you are called "Smirking Saint" Funniest post to date Congrats
  14. No, the most worrying thing is that Cortese is listening to him Apart from being a useless Charlton Manager, Reed has the natural ability of being a Todt, a first class @rse licker, and a Sh*t stirrer of the highest order Ask any Charlton fan for their opinion of him
  15. I can't recollect me giving you permission to use my Caps ???
  16. Agreed, but in complete disarray and with no Manager/Coach A few defeats loom IMHO
  17. As Benjii said "any half competant manager can get us promoted" Who do you expect ?? Sir Alex, Arsene, Hodgson ??? Take Heart from Hart, He's a proven Top Level Manager Who is currently out of work Three million unemployed would say they fancy the job if geiven a chance Cortese only has CHOICES from people who are AVAILABLE And the ones that are available are normally proven FAILURES
  18. Phil Brown ?? OK, my error on that one, but I think most people would have understood the underlying meaning
  19. OK, Choir practice is at 8pm
  20. Oh all right then
  21. You may regret saying that my friend. I don't think many "competant" Managers/Coaches are going to risk coming to St Mary's under Cortese's doctrine Cortese will of course appoint someone, but I'll bet you now, it won't be a popular choice Many on here still live in the clouds. We will NOT attract either Prem or CCC Quality Managers We are DIVISION THREE, with a Stadium and no debt But have we Harmony at the Top, and does the Top share Harmony with it's Customers ?? No way
  22. And we are still in the same position that we were at the start of the Five Years, ie Aiming to get out of the THIRD LEVEL of UK Football At best, it is now a 3 Year and 43 game Plan
  23. Agreed, and not everything is Red and White If you and others were to just step back and view things from afar, ie Aldershot Manager, then perhaps you could see things that do go on
  24. Look at it another way. Yes we have the players, currently not being utilised to their potential, Yes we have a Stadia, no debt etc etc. What we don't have is a decent Manager/Coach to bring out the best in the Squad, and now we are faced with yet MORE upheavel before a new person is blended in, and that is assuming that the person Cortese "gets", can galvanise the Squad into action I do not think the "New" person will do anything out of the ordinary, and ordinary is how I would describe us at the moment Any Manager leaving any Club is about the most disruptive thing that can happen, and not often to the good of results on the pitch. Even Cortese has alluded to that How he can still think that his wonderful Five Year Plan is still achievable beggars belief IMHO He thinks a TEam is like a Machine, that can have oil added to improve performance. Well it isn't. It consists of Humans
  25. We are art the moment, a very ordinary DIVISION ONE "Club", currently in disarray, and run by ONE man, whoose word on ANY subject, is LAW Under those circumstances, who the hell do you think we are likely to "attract" IMHO, not anyone of any calibre, or anyone who would be his own man Forget any Manager of Prem or CCC calibre, they will not want to come to a Dictatorship If only people would realise it, Cortese, the Businessman, is running everything purely as a Business, but Football still is MORE than a Business. It has Supporters, who are flesh and blood. In a very short space of time, Cortese has taken away the Human element, and destroyed all the Goodwill Feeling that was built up whilst Markus was around The dark days are back I fear, starting with the appointment of a Useless Yes Man Coach (Managers are yesterdays news)
