So £12m wages for west ham for a player they'd likely no longer need. There's a deal to be had there for someone you'd think.
-
And where would that leave Ings I wander....
-
I'd go with that. That bench is no worse than our bench for much of last season.
-
That's my guess. 72 international caps, and been a PL playerz so big enough profile.

I hope that as well as Hove and Wood, that we replace Adams when he goes, and I'm confident that we will. I'm fearful that we'll lose Tella or Sulemana though and not replace whichever one goes. I think we can afford to see Djenepo, Paul, and ABK all leave without replacement, but only if we get Hove and Wood. Lyanco is a shocker, but he's just about adequate as 4th pick.

What's your beef with wellington posts?

Edit: for some reason this post re Letby/reform was moved to the squabbling thread.

I'm not fussed what others say about SoG or what he says about others. Not my circus, not my monkeys. What I will not tolerate are allegations from him, or anyone else, that I'm bullying the bloke.
-
Please show where there's been a "pile on" against SoG on this thread. I'd particularly like it if you could highlight what I've said to or about SoG that's derogatory. In the interest of balance, perhaps you'd be kind enough to also highlight what he's said about me....... When you've done that, an apology for your nonsense post would be most appreciated.

I haven't said that can just walk out! However, the club won't let him just walk out on a free next year. They'll sell him, we'll get a fee, he'll get a pay rise, and get to lose PL matches most weeks. Frankly, discussion around him is a bit tedious. We've got some people who see the obvious as per the above, and others who can't see the reality and think that he should stay because they've now decided he's brilliant.

I have. I'm not putting up with nonsense and slurs like that.

My posts on this subject have been respectful. It's a sensitive subject, and an interesting thread which I acknowledged in my first post. I've made no criticism of you whatever, yet you criticise me and suggest I'm an unemployed divorcee. At the end of the day, I've disagreed with your view, but in doing so I have acknowledged that I can understand it. I say this with sincerity - please don't take my disagreements with some of your opinions as being personal. They absolutely aren't. It's a forum, I agree with some people, but rarely with you simply because we have different perspectives on many things. What I find most disagreeable though is that you've made a thread relating to the actions of a serial killer against the most vulnerable people, all about you. That tells me that the problem is you, not other people.

Indeed. Playing for Everton in the PL is a step up on any assessment, and he'd be nuts not to take the extra dollars they'll be paying him. All hypothetical, but if he's on £50k down here (I suspect it'll be less), but will be on £100k up there (I suspect it'll be more) that's the thick end of £2.5m over just the the next year. The expectation that he turns that down, and the chance to play PL football, to please Harry from Harefield is bewildering.

Che seems to have gone from public enemy to irreplaceable messiah rather quickly! @verlaine1979 makes the point that almost everyone was making before he scored this season.

Thanks, I couldn't piece it together, and I'd forgotten that Simeu was injured. Whoever played, that was a good result against Brentford.

We also played a behind closed doors game against Exeter. This was the team for that: McNamara, Davis, Bailey (Dobson-Ventura 79), Moore, Lett, Trialist (Squires 59), Edwards (Pitts 66), Stepien-Iwumene, Merry (Robinson 56), Andrews, Small That leaves Bycroft, Abu, Simeu, Awe, Hewlett, Meghoma, Bragg, Dibling, Finnigan, Ballard ,Olaigbe and Ehibhatiomhan from the u21 players involved in the last game.

Could be, but my guess is Lumley. He's wearing the captain's armband and I can't imagine a youngster would have been skipper.

Sadly I think that's right. Politically he had little choice but to follow Rishi's lead.

Sadly it happens, and it makes a sad situation much worse. This is very much one of those situations where some people are asking for something without any understanding or thought of its real impact. Keir Starmer should know better.

Interesting. Only a year in his contract too so Swansea will be under pressure to listen.
