Is she relying on the technical defence of "it was Kwarteng"? Lunacy regardless.

Please remind when the Jay report was? Please remind me how long the Tories were in power thereafter. Staggeringly pathetic to suggest that labour should be criticised for what the Tories didn't do. Staggering.
-
My observation of trends is that a SoG post is guaranteed a like by TD, often a laughing emoji by Hypo and sometimes east stand nic, and that most other people react with comments and emojis as befits the post. I used to be benevolent to SoG and although I think too many people play the poster not the post, he doesn't help himself, and I'm still convinced he's on a wind up or is some kind of abuse masochist.

Are you suggesting multi logins, bandwagon jumping, or something else?
-
It's poor form to say that labour should have done in their first five minutes of power what the Tories didn't/wouldn't. The attempts to turn a Tory failure into a labour one is staggeringly pathetic.
-
They weren't, none of them. The Tories now banging the drum for an inquiry having failed/refused to act on the inquiry carried out in their watch, is a disgraceful act of political grandstanding and opportunism.

Starmer's a youngster, he's only 62. Burnham is only 7 years younger. I fear he's a bit like Starmer, Rishi and many others, ie you believe he's PM material until he actually becomes PM.
-
No disrespect, but I'd rather the club didn't throw away millions on signings which won't make a difference to the outcome of this season so that you feel you've got value from your hundreds.
-
Yep. He's an unelected megalomaniac being given a massive platform, and as yet unknown authority. For me it's impossible not to look at what he and Trump are saying and doing in the round.
-
Blimey, Trump & Musk are struggling for top 5 shit now.
-
I've not had a chance yet but I'll listen to it later. My interest will be to understand the evidence of a potential cover up, not speculation or opinion.
-
Good shout. I forgot Hale & Pace as well.
-
Of course they're not, but for whatever reason, the worst double act since cannon & ball are unsettling Europe and others which ain't ideal.
-
Yep. Having influence but unknown motives isn't ideal. The facts are that he's unsettling a number of European leaders all whist his mate Trump is unsettling a number of other global leaders. Christ knows what they're playing at, but when you have Musk taking a vote on liberating Britain, and Trump wanting to annex other sovereign countries, you know that you've got interesting times ahead.
-
Thanks for the link. I'll take a listen later.
-
Yep. He won't make any meaningful difference to our lost season so leave him where he is where he can get more minutes and develop.
-
I don't want to believe that idiots like Musk have a huge influence but alas they do. We're living in a world where rhetoric is stated as fact, and a huge number of people lap it up. Something being rolled out on the pages of the sun back in the day carried much less weight than it going out on X, then being disseminated from there. There was a time when noise from someone like Musk wouldn't have made it's way across the ocean. That's not the case and we can't avoid that he's now having an impact on British politics - the fact that we're discussing him tells a story.
-
You're comparing an apple and a pip imo. That said, I get your point that Musk isn't as powerful in many respects as men with military's under their control, but unusually I agree with Hypo. I think the point really is that we're now in a different era and power can, and is, exterted in different ways and the power of global influence is hugely powerful.
-
You forgot that rather important bit when you initially quoted Hypo. None of the people you listed had a global platform under their control and/or more money than anyone else on earth, ever. I'm not sure why you can't accept the power and influence that brings.
-
Recognising his influence on the masses (and Trump) doesn't make a person a fan of his. I'm no fan at all, he's dangerous, but that doesn't prevent me from taking an objective view.
-
I think you underestimate the power in words on a global scale, and the ability of people to believe his rhetoric.
-
Yep. What we don't yet know is the extent of his influence over Trump, and how much a role he'll have running the new US/Greenland/Panama/Canada superstate.
-
Yep. Wanting something different to what we're getting seems to be labelled as far right. It feels arrogant, out of touch and often plain wrong.
-
The point is that nobody has to prove that Musk is wrong. He has to prove that he's right. In the absence of evidence to justify his case, then it must follow that he's making baseless allegations. We're in real danger of falling into line with the American's of having a political system where serious allegations are made and considered true until proved to the contrary.
-
Extending my last post, of others repeated my allegations they wouldn't be any more true would they. You're 180 degrees out on this.
